PHP Code:
I'm an insurance agent. This is going to happen the right way
You'd be better off if you were a lawyer.

The major problem with UPS, FedEx etc claim process is that the shipper has to file the claim (and hound the company for payment). The ebay seller has little incentive to be a total PITA, becasue he was already paid.

It will be very hard to get more then 50% of what you actually paid the seller.
The UPS rep will ask for an invoice of the transaction, they don't simply pay out the insured value. The seller will have to argue that the 2 parts can not be replaced for less the $500.

Three things that will help move this along.
1. Move quickly up the food chain - rep, sup, mgr,div mgr.
2. A letter to the corporate HQ in Atlanta - reference every name you spoke in the letter
3. A letter to the div mgr from a lawyer

Good luck

Thanks Greg.

Hopefully the shipper will wish to get this fixed.

It's not the total cost that concerns me - its that now I have to find replacements.

The actual cams were purchased on ebay for 160 dollars - the whole set.

Now to replace them TODAY at 928intl, I believe it about 250 a cam.

I shipped a 928 luggage cover to Tom Falkenberg via UPS and they lost the package. It took 2 or 3 weeks but they paid out the insurance ($200) plus they refunded the shipping costs.

Last week I ordered a dip stick from 928 intl that was packed well in a Bilstein shock box. When it arrived it was bent (must have had a very heavy box on it). I just straightened the dipstick out but even with a well packed box things get damaged.

reason number 748934326582952 to use FedEx instead of UPS

I hope you get this resolved. UPS has trashed a few of my packages. Fortunately nothing valuable was ever damaged other than an AR15.
