Holiday Specials from DEVEK

Yes there are some additional expansion plans in the works that are resulting in DAILY personal growth. The end result will be the addition of a new DEVEK Team Member in April 2005, the exact date of hire is to be determined but somewhere around April 22nd is predicted. She will be the second female member of the (human) staff, and after an extensive training period (12-16 years depending on child labor laws) I'm sure she will be a valued addition to our team.
Happy Holidays to everyone!

Yes, the technology these days is absolutely amazing. And since I'm getting a bit of a late start (tick tock) they wanted to do every test in the book on both of us to make sure everything's OK, which it certainly is! She's already testing out her heel/toe and power shifting techniques in there.
Thanks!!!

Susan & Marc - That's outstanding news about the new staff member. Just in time for Sharks in the Park! Ha, ha.
Happy Holidays. I hope to be able to drop by the new place next week before the Holidays.

We are really excited about our new product development effort, the R & D schedule is well under way and the project plan, including branding, product placement, perfromance metrics, MTBF, upgrades and future revisions are all being consisdered and integrated into the master plan as we speak.
We expect that the product launch will be a bit of a strain, as part to port clearance is always a concern and the last minute pushes to deliver on time can drive the best project manager crazy. However, we will use the best talent during the final delivery phase, and I will personally be ensuring the quality of the work performed, provide staff support and motivations, and if required will participate in the process as much as possible.
Of course, we may have to speed things up a bit, cut the cord from the development phase to done phase, and slap some life into the project at the last minute: nothing unusal for a team of pros pressing for an on time delivery of an effort with a long gestation period. Typical of engineering projects, start with a simple idea, plant a tiny seed and over time, the process expands and consumes all resources until the product is mature and takes on a life of its own. Of course, the financials, total life cycle costs and ROI are still a bit ovewhelming.
I must say, so far, the process is running smoothly, the scope is progressing in a controled manner and we are gaining some additional benefits from the process that are carrying over to other departments.
Well, that is the project status for now!
Happy Holidays!

""we are gaining some additional benefits from the process that are carrying over to other departments.""
The wording of all that is classic, well done.
