How hard? That depends on your desire and skill
Easier than an S4, you'll be using CIS on the S motor and not the L-Jet injection.
There will be wiring changes.

Or buy an 84-85 Euro S intake and use the L-jet like I'm doing.

The intake is in a box in my kitchen - the 5.0 shortblock to be installed has not been shipped - my stock US motor is in storage, still in the car.

Ask me again next April.

I put an 84 Euro S in my 1980 ex-turbo car. Engine bolts right in, but combining the Euro S wiring to the 80 wiring is very tricky. Many small details that can get overlooked and cause much

Performance is on par with an S4, but without the anti-lock brakes, suspension, aerodynamics, etc. The early cars are lighter, so this helps.

Forgot to mention, if you plan on using the updated motor mounts, you will need a new crossmember (not hard to do, but neccessary). Too many other little things for me to think of them all right now.

does anyone have a euro S engine and the wiring that they would like to sell?? Also, how much more complex are the 84-86 euro S engines compared to the 80-83 euro S engines??
