Default Airborne..almost

Darn near has all 4 off the ground!
I snagged this pic from the OT forum where it was recenlty posted in the "Random Picture" thread. Not to send you all to the dark side of OT land, but there are some pretty funny pictures on that thread!

This one was a keeper for me. Ive never seen it before!

Im still trying to figure out how the car got that way. Anyhting is possible with Photoshop as we know. Funny nonetheless

Tony,
Great picture. I THINK there's only one wheel off the ground. It looks to me like the wheel is rebounding from the dip.

I still think the right front is planted and the left front is rebounding from the dip at the bottom of the hill. I think it's a suspension rebound and not related to acceleration.

The photos are from a rally in New Zealand - I don't remember the name this instant. Speed Channel does a one-hour long summary every year. It's a pretty big deal. One of our 928 brethren - not associated directly with the 928 shown - competes in a Lotus...

It's the Dunlop Targa and it 's usually run in October. The car in the photo belongs to John Dolphin/Stephen Potter and they finished 7th class. Geoff Hunt/Hamish Cochran fiished 3rd in class in their 928 right behind Porsche 911 SC and Ford Capri 2.8i.

O ye of little faith ... that thing is airborne front-left for sure. Look at the fender clearance. I'm thinking he needs to check afterwards:

bent rim
bent a-arm
bent droplink if rear went through the same pothole
shock tower damage
like Jim said ... oil pan
ac bracket though I have no doubt that car has no ac
new fillings

It's great he has that phat tailpipe, not only does he have far less torque with it, but he can actually reach his arm in and adjust the exhaust valves through it
