"By the way Mark, how's that gun rack for the pick'em up truck coming along????"
I was going to let you do that when you add it to your collection.

A sad day indeed and SCCA is not going to reverse themselves on this one. The e mail clearly states that they would like Mark to come back with a newer Porsche and stop embarrassing factory teams (Porsche included) with his old car. That the 928 community may be disinclined to follow that particular series is no real sweat off their back and we have to accept that.
On the otherhand there's plenty of buttwhuppins to be handed out in POC events and as long as that old car has some new overpriced and overhyped cars to chew up, then I'm happy.

Dear Mr. Siegel:
You should be aware that hundreds if not thousands of Porsche fans are disappointed that the Sports Car Club of America will disqualify the Porsche 928 from the series altogether. Understanding fully that SCCA exempted Mark Anderson and Mark Kibort from the five year rule for limited participation in the series (the West Coast races), this practice should continue.
The 928 is competitive and, because of Mark Anderson's and Mark Kibort's participation, the west coast races have been entertaining. I don't own a Porsche 928. I own a three series BMW and a Porsche Boxster. Nevertheless, everyone loves an underdog and Anderson and Kibort fit the bill.
Let me also say that among us sports car race fans, watching the advertising is just as much a part of the event as watching the race. If Mark Anderson is not allowed to continue, you my anecdotal report that I will stop watching the series altogether.
I hope you share with SCCA colleagues our collective displeasure with the decision to end the 928's participation in the Speed World Challenge. I encourage you to use your influence to reverse this decision.
Sincerely,

Mark, I have to agree with Garth and Nicole here. You and your 928 are a wonderful legend.
It's time my friend.
