[Oh, BTW, Mr Lockhart, i need info on how you made that cool "Riva" wall clock for DR!]

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pick-up a $6.00 clock mechanism at your local hobby shop, do some major cutting/grinding on the wheel, and viola!!!!!!! You have a $300.00 clock!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL.

Unfortunately I seem to have no shortage of clock donor wheels. I think I have 3 rims currently in storage that are soon to start their new life as clocks.

Tony, check your PM's, and give me a call. I've got a spare front Riva that you might want.

Tony,

This is going to be a tough call for you, but you're just going to have to face the facts and realize that you only have one real choice. Time to part out the car. And since I'm evidentally the only one honest enough to tell you this, it's only fair that I get first dibs on the parts.

I'll take the engine with your SC setup. Seeing as it's attached to a crappy banged up wheel, it's probably not worth a whole lot any more. I'll offer you $1000.

If you want to stay with 18s, I'd vote for either:

Enkei RC5
18 x 8.5 ET54 20.5 lb
18 x 10 ET60 22.1 lb

or

BBS RE
18 x 8.5 ET56 20.2 lb
18 x 10 ET65 21.8 lb

Both are around $550-$600/wheel.

Chuck, I bought a set of wheels from Wheel Enhancement a few years back. They listen when you pay in cash Anyway, I was suggesting to just LOOK at their collection to get an idea of what is out there for our cars. The place was partnered by the brothers at one point and there was a falling out. One sold off to the other and now they don't talk. There can be some good deals had through them. They have been in business for some years now and expect they aren't going anywhere.

I think Ed has the right of it. All that power is to much for the streets. Clearly as danger to you and everyone else. Soooo, if Ed has dibs on the motor, I guess I go for the rest of the car. That is, if you do the right thing and part it out. I'll offer you a $1,500 for the rest of the car, to include the body, tranny, and interior. I figure that's fair since there's no motor involved. But you have to remove that bent wheel. I'll even arrange for picking it up....

<---- Did someone say Fikse? Use 10-12 weeks for your lead time.

The RC5 doesn't look bad and would be easy to clean, a big part of the equation to me.

You can get HREs in 4-5... mine ship out the 23rd, and ordered em late last month...

Oh, they are a little more money than Fikses though, but they look better as well.

I've got some GTS wheels with new tires for sale...

Aw man Tony!

Well, the good news is it's just a couple of wheels and not the whole car!

Just go ahead and get another set of Riva's since apparently you're quite fond of them. Besides, no one will recognize your web page without a Riva-shod 928!

FLIEGEN, holy crap that's some serious iron in your sig!

Which car is your favorite? How do you like the C6? I'm waiting for the C6 Z06...

Hey Lag, nah they aren't all mine, just me and my dad's toys... he has a few other hot rods including a 964 Cab, a Lightning cause everyone needs to get to the lumber yard in time, and a XJR, cause who doesnt need a low 13 sec family car?

Anyways, the C6 is absolutely amazing. My dad sold his 85 after having three Vettes in a row, and vowed never to get one again. After a year or so of bugging with all the hype, and after he didn't get a chance to buy a 50th aniv C5 like he wanted for 6 months or so, we found this one on the show room floor, that someone ordered and backed out on. Color was probably too bright or something. Anyways, we snatched it up, as the C6 was comanding at least 10K over here in Dallas, and we got it with no mark up. It is the nicest coolest car I have erver driven, save for the 928, but com'mon, its a damn Chevy, and I am comparing it to a 928? Yes, actually, you won't drive yours much when you get that Z06, it is going to be a beast, and I assume just as quiet and nice inside... What size tires are you running, and do you have and rubbing/clearance issues with your HREs being that wide?

Sorry for the hi-jack post!

Ive been saved! Thankyou Chris
My wheel is on the way!

I took the ding'd wheel apart today. One, 8mm torx..my airwrench and it was apart in 2 minutes. Frustrating, it would be soooo easy to fix with a spare outer rim. From the smell and looks of the fasteners, they were definitely "loctited" which would make sense.
damn it all , it would be so easy with the parts.

I guess i will compile my clock parts . Chris you have a good pic of that clock?
