Wow, your interior is stunning. For some reason I have never been a fan of wood accented interior, but yours makes me think otherwise. Very nice!

All parts were very easy to install - less than an hour, including figuring out the best "ride height" for the ****.

The **** comes with the allen wrench needed for installation.

The wood trim pieces have an adhesive backing - all you need to do is clean the surface ("degrease" it), carefully position the piece, and press it on.

I found that when I did not get a trim piece positioned right the first time, I could losen and repsoition it relatively easily. However, once it's settled, it really bonds well and is unlikely to ever come off by iteslf.

I think the steel pieces look awesome on darker interiors (which most 928s have), like dark blue or black. On a dark brown, the bronze colored ones might look a llittle more "at home". They show examples of both on their website.

The art is to find the pieces and materials that go best with your interior colors and personal taste. There are many, many choices, but nobody says you have to get all of them. Find out what works best with your particular interior - Paul and Ches are very helpful in making suggestions and recommendations. You can even send them a picture of your interior, and they'll suggest a "package" for you!

Yes, there is a thin trim piece that goes on the emergency brake bezel.

I have to say that I don't mind, since the gears are indicated in the instrument panel anyway. Without the numbers, the shifter plate has a much cleaner look.

However, if the shift pattern is important to you, or if you have an older car without the indicator in the dash pod, then you can choose some of the metal shifter plate options that have the letters and numbers cut-out.

The cool thing is: They have so many options - it's impossible NOT to find anything that works and looks good on your car...

(sorry for my weird double negation in this last sentence...)

Hi Wade: Yes, I did. In fact, I had a carbon tip shifter before.

The carbon is a very nice option because it is the real fiber - it has this wonderful depth that only real material can display.

When it came to picking the materials, I decided that i wanted something that warms up the all grey interior, so wood was an almost natural choice for me.

However, had my interior been more of a combination of black and grey, blue and grey, or all black, I would have given the carbon look a lot more oonsideration.

It's all not a matter of good or bad. In fact, there is only good and better. What those are is in the eye of you - the beholder.

Nicole,
That's what I was thinking too. I have the CF shifter already as well. Got it back before he had all of the current options. I'm torn between the brushed aluminum and CF. I had been thinking about going with a grey carpet and black vinyl/leather. But now I'm leaning towards staying with the all black and the CF. At least until I go back to the site and look at all of the options again....Oh well, it nice to have choices...

Its cool that Jager is coming up with ways to update the looks of our cars.

Wade: If you already have pieces that you like, then why not build around them? The carbon look is REALLY nice. I've seen it in Rob Haitsma's '89 928 S4, where he combined it with some of the metal program. He hasn't posted here in a little while, and I wonder, if there's a picture of his car floating around... There are plenty of pictures on the Jager website as well.

Yes, too many choices can be hard. Why not put everything on your Christmas wish list and let someone who loves you make the decision for a nice surprise? That's just one possible way to make things easier on you... LOL!

I was thinking about the Christmas list. My girlfriend bought me a 930s steering wheel a couple of years ago for Christmas. She even got the Porsche emblem/badge for it. Looks sweet. I ended up marrying that girl...

I'll probably end up going with the carbon pieces. I was waiting to hear some testimonials on the fit and finish up the pieces. But it sounds like they look good. I've seen some not so good ones in other models. Paul seems to take the time to make sure his stuff looks A+.

Nicole I don't not disbelieve that your double negative above wasn't not incorrect.

Cool

I saw the wood finishing at Sharktoberfest, and I was very impressed. It certainly does give a more luxurious look

Maybe some carbon fiber or stainless, however woodgrain just does not do it for me in a sports car. It does look like some quality product with a factory look to it. I guess it is just a matter of personal taste.

Did Porsche ever offer a wood grain package for the 928?

Yes there was a "root wood" option included the insert above the armrest in wood. Rumored to have been a $5,000 option. Our Australian friends might consider it aptly named.
