928 Interior Decorating and Improved Shifting - Updated with more Pictures!
I finally took some pictures of my slightly revised interior. I added some wood accents from Jager Engineering, which give the interior a much warmer and more luxurious feel.
I also added their totally awesome new Generation 2 TipShifter. The latter is making manual shifting even more fun than the one I had before. This is probably "THE" best enhancement you can make on an automatic 928 - doesn't cost very much, works well, and looks great.
The cool things about the shifter are the larger button, and the fact that you can adjust the "ride height" of the **** to your own liking.
I tried out different variations, and found that I liked it best, if the button was even with the **** when depressed. Alternatively, you can set it so the button is even when not depressed, and you press the button "into" the ****.
Note that I also have the "small leather boot". Jager offeres custom colors to match the interior as well.
If you still have the clumsy original shifter, this is something you should put on your wish list for Christmas, Hanukkah, or whatever you are going to celebrate next. Add a short or long boot, and a shifter plate cover to make the look complete.
If you like more icing on your cake, look into the interor pieces. Jager has a worksheet that you can download, which shows you all the options.
Some of you have seen the material samples I brought to the Sharktoberfest. The carbon and real wood options have a wonderful natural "depth" as part of their look. If you live in a hot climate and your car is exposed to the sun a lot, carbon or a synthetic veneer might be the best way to go. Either way, the pieces are very high quality and really dress up the 928 interior without any permanent changes.
You gotta love this stuff!

Very nice Nicole!!
I added/upgraded from my original carbon tip shifter to the new full leather shifter and cover plate in burgandy to match the cars interior. Very nice although the burgandy isn't an exact match it doesn't stand out as terrible either. Worthy upgrade for sure.
At some point in the future I plan on adding some wood accents to the car, just not sure which or how much yet.
Thanks for sharing!

I'm waiting for my wood trim... thanks for the insight...
Your interior looks great... I ordered the light Napa woods and the circular vent almost a month ago (I'm still waiting for delivery). Your pictures show me I made the right choice... how difficult was the install???

Nicole - did you add trim around the emergency brake? I can't quite see it in the first pic, but it looks like wood trim around it also. Just curious from the picture....
I plan to do something similar with mine, but possibly use the long boot instead.
Looks good!

Did you consider going with on of the carbon fiber patterns? My interior is black and I was thinking about going that way. CF might have looked good against the grey...
