Interesting... My OB has studs on the gearbox, so there were 3 nuts holding it to the bracket. After re-reading your first post, I'm guessing you had phillips screws there? That would make a big difference.... Did you put anti-seize on the fasteners on re-assembly? I know you're hoping that you never have to get in there again, but ya never know...
