Nope, I don't get it. The front mounted "exchanger" looks like air-to-air. But I also see a Reservior for a air-to-water in the passenger fender.

I also see a fan-cooled *glycol* looking exchanger in the fenderwell on the drivers side?

Now that COULD be an oil cooler as I mentioned in the earlier post -

Come on Jim - you can't just send these picks out without some explanation. I know your probably working today - but I think we would all appreciate some "background"

I'm suprised nobody has tried to tackle the "guess what" link.

Hey Hack,

The guess what link is a variable outlet muffler... Was that really so hard to guess?

I was pretty fascinated by it when I originally saw the car it was in. I'm working on Jim to make me a 2nd one.

Pretty interesting mods on the motor.. The NOVI/Paxton is a great CS. Very good air movement and efficiency..

See if you can get him to answer my questions about the AP Caliper brackets, as I have a set sitting in boxes that I need to make brackets for, and I don't want to reinvent the wheel...

Thanks,

Some serious fab work there, nice!

Custom engine driven fan mount?

The variable length/noise level muffler is tres cool.

I'm still trying to figure out what those guys up there did to that orange/black stripe car pictured on the "miscellaneous customer cars" page. Knowing them, there's probably a 502 big block stuck in there.

What you are seeing is an engine oil separator. It vents crankcase pressure to the atmosphere, & drains the separated oil back to the engine.

You are right, there are two engine oil coolers in the front fenders.

Nice.

How do you protect them from road injury?

I assume thats a trans cooler in the driver's rear quarter?

Brendan,
On the transmission cooler, it is protected using a louvered shield, the same part the factory used (not shown in the pictures).

Jim - I love your avatar. Damn. I'd kill for that shop setup. Really looks like a first-rate shop. I am more than just a little cramped. New, larger, shop in the plans, but probably still a couple years off.

I should come visit ya!
