You don't want a ride in a SC 928 anyway, it would spoil you so bad, a regular one would never do.

Next step - a guy "ACCIDENTALLY" bid at my opening bid price for my Jeep. Now I have to go through the eBay system to get them not to charge me for the original listing. Then I have to relist.

Getting a little closer. I have filled out the various forms to be reimbursed for my orginal listing and the Jeep lists again tonight (ends a week from sunday). This time I'm listing with no reserve and a low buy it now price. Tell your offroad buddies.

I also went for a test-drive here in Boston on Sunday in an 87 s4 5-speed. I liked it a lot, but even a couple grand less than his asking is beyond me right now. Jim (Moon928) came along to offer expert advice. It was good to have someone who knew what to ask.

So hopefully the shopping begins again in 10 days.

The car Kuwona looked at was a nice car from as distance but it needs bunch of work. The short list includes the clutch; both valve cover leaking, anti freeze leaking into the valley and it needs a total paint job. If the owner doesn’t sell it soon- look for it to pop up on ebay.

The owner pulled the front seats out (were black memory seats) and with replaced them with a set of tan seats from a 968.

I was showing Kuwona were the option codes were listed and I suggested he right them down to see what the car was built with- the reaction from the owner was priceless- he put the cover right over the numbers and said you don’t need to know what they are, you are just wasting your time.

The car was a perfect car to shop against.

Jim

I see a few 928's around here..

I've seen a turqouise one, a red one (tricked out) - don't remember the other ones. Not too common though

Thanks Gang -

My price range is $0-$6,000 including transpotation. I realize that probably means a nice older modle - which is what I am expecting - or a driving project S4. If I could get a decent S4, I would probably go upto $7,000 - but I know that's unlikely.

I got a call from the eBay buyer two minutes before I was going to relist my Jeep. He said he will send the check today. We'll see about that.

I'm thinking of heading up to NH this weekend to check out this one...

Anybody want to come?
