John,
If I wasn't allready committed to building a few 16V PD SC setups then I would be your 1st customer.
As far as another Turbo setup coming out...I got an e-mail from a guy in Atl last week saying he was going to do one. From concept to completion is a loooong and dificult road, fraught with peril. If I had $10.00 for each time I read something like "I am going to make turbo/supercharger/nitrous system for my 928" by people that never did then I would use the money to buy another 16v car and put one of John's systems on it.
I'll bet that if John used the same simple fuel management that is currently used on the all the SC setups v/s MAF conversion etc he is currently running.....then he would have a fairly competitively priced, product that also gives the most performance for the dollar.

DN,
Sorry should have specified, I was commenting on Tony's post to the others reading along. Not to Tony because I know he knows quite a bit about conception to implementation. I have no doubt that the TT S4 exists. But on that subject, the road from running system to duplicaton in kit form is even a longer ahrder one.

Talk to DEVEK a few years ago they were making TT kit for the white car but never bcame to sale I'd be interested as to know why. must be power to money ratio but I prefer turbo power.

Since you guys already have popcorn, chicken, and beer handy, sit back and enjoy this entire thread; it's a great way to start the day:
http://www.viperalley.com/showflat.p.../Number/431783
..it makes our 'horsepower war' threads look like pre-schoolers arguing who can chug their carton of milk the fastest.
Ok, back on topic: thanks for the twin-turbo update!

Damn, those guys are even rougher on noobs than the RX-7 forum - and that's pretty rough. No KY for you!
I gotta say I love my 928 people, even the arguments here are good-natured discussions.

Who said supercharging is the best way to go? Not CS, that is for sure. Yes, I know there have been other S4 cars already done, but none have been reproduced. I've not seen this Oregon car, but as I have been told the intercooler sits over-top the engine and the hood has a section pieced in to allow airflow.
For now, my focus is still on 16V stuff. Eventully I am going to put one of my setups in place of Callaway's on the Bastard.

Pat pass me a thigh please .... I too was there and rode in the TT S4 that day. About the Intercooler(s) .... I used to be under an nda but I'm not sure I still am .... maybe ... dunno ... anyway, the intercooler(s) is/are NOT on top of the engine, per se. The design could be 100% stealthy with under-hood work, but the builder opted for (a) hood glille(s). If John has solved the steering routing thing I am sure this particular builder would be most interested because he had figured out an ingenious solution.
Placement of the heat exchanger(s) was also another VERY impressive bit of engineering. HOWEVER ..... there were some issues. Mostly related to too much boost.

I like the idea of a TT 928...Devek didn't make one because marc blew a couple tranny in a couple months with "only" 550 rwhp...so he though whats the point of 1000....valid point....I would like to see them do it however, just to say it was done!

I'm guessing there are not many options when it comes to dealing with the transmission not taking the power.
Other than switching to a non-Porsche transmission.
z06, etc...
