Well that's a step up from a yellow Z28 rust bucket!

I think I missed the "Supertune" Porsche 928. Perhaps the best representative of our beloved 928 waiting to get the proper attention. Some action video:

I have several Go-bots with the box and a nice Kermit 928 (1:30 scale) not for sale.

Wow. The interior detailing on that is amazing.
I'm reasonably happy with the job I did on mine, but it pales in comparison.

What did you use for the carpeting?
The detail on the pod and center console is very well done.

And I have to note:

It was pointed out somewhere on here that the interior has both window switches and crank handles. Manual windows were never an option.

I shaved the cranks off and sanded the area smooth.

Hi,

First of all it wasn’t done by me, I only bought the kit and have it professionally done, I wish I had half the knowledge this guy has!
He is Portuguese and he has a FB page and a Youtube channel, TM Modelkits.
I pointed out to him some discrepancies in the kit, the window switches and door crank handles is one of them, maybe the most evident, but I believe Tamiya used a lot of parts of the kit they release a lot of years ago.
There are other small stuff like the car having a sunroof and rear wiper but no buttons, the centre console ventilators are completely different, the small gauges on the dash are in the position of the 928 and not the S version and another thing that I can’t understand is why Tamiya didn’t offer the possibility of using manual or auto shifter!
That wouldn’t be too difficult...

But overall I’m very happy with it and there are not many options in the market to have a model 928 that is almost a perfect copy of mine!

Regards

I had a feeling that it was a professionally done model.

Although I considered the possibility that you are a pro level modeler.

The technical discrepancies are pretty common in these kinds of models. The designers know a lot about the overall subject, but often times miss details particular to the individual vehicle.

And I did my plastic scale model (same Tamiya kit) in the same colors as the full scale one that's out in the garage. I had to mix some black into the standard metallic green to get close to the Moss Green that's on the big one. It's not a perfect match, but close enough for me.

Hi,
The kit was bought on Ebay it's the Tamiya 1/20 scale Porsche 928S kit number #20066 and it costs between 40€ and 50€, maybe you can find it cheaper!
Then I have it professionally built to match as much as possible my car and it cost me 40€.
The guy that done it has a Youtube channel, TM Modelkits. He is very very good!

Well, since I can't have more than one 928 in 1/1 scale, I continue to add some models to my collection.
3 more, 928S4, 1/87 scale made by Herpa! Even my cat admires the 928
(sorry about the crappy pic...)
