A while back I saw a series of diecast 1/87 "Classics" on clearance at Walmart. IIRC they were $1. So I bought nearly all the classic Porsche & Mercedes models that they had. Over the years I've put a tiny brass eyelet through the roof or floor, added a tiny red ribbon-loop and given them out to buddies as Christmas tree ornaments.
I think the detail and proportion of these little Chinese models rival Herpa, plus they're actually metal. I never saw a 928, so I don't know if they ever made one.

Bought this parts car off Ebay for about $5.00. Well worth it to give it a good home.

Sean, I'm not sure that's the original paint...
How's the driver's side bolster?

Busted just as bad as the early aluminum ball joint.

Just found this in my childhood car toy archive: Tonka Turbo Tricksters 928 S. AKA Choro Q series in Japan or Penny Racers by Takara. Really flies and does some neat tricks with the penny installed! Fun distorted look and even wearing Dunlop tires.

All of these 928s turn into robots except the Testudo and Matchbox.
