With all of the recent discussion on exhaust changes, have you seen this one before?

Wow, I sure hope that the reason they did this was 'cause the motor was shot. That's an expensive conversion - when I was toying with that sorta thing it was about $5K to $10K, depending on how much power you wanted.
However, just because there's no noise doesn't mean it won't fly. Heh.
Cheers,
Peter

Well, there is something to be said about electric vehicles. I just test drove a prototype that took me from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. It was like being fired out of a slingshot.
It just didn't sound nearly as bitchin as my shark at idle though :-)

It is a yellow two seater which you may see around the valley occasionally. I don't know if it has been autocrossed. I drove it up on Skyline which was a hoot. It has a slider that controls the degree of regen braking when you come off the gas which makes it very interesting to drive. Going in fast to a corner come off the gas to shift wieght forward then back on the gas as you exit - all with one pedal.
A friend works at the company. They are still in stealth mode so there in not too much info around on the vehicle, or on their web site: www.teslamotors.com

You're not kidding... very sparse site. Sounds like a hoot. You inspired me to search and I found what I was looking for, the "Tango". One of these would be REAL fun to take for a rematch if you get smoked in your shark by some ricer...
Fully engineered electric vehicles may be interesting and quick, but I doubt the Frankenporsche in question would be very impressive. I wonder how much it weighs, loaded up with (lead-acid?) batteries?
