Around here, you might be mistaken for a 928 lowrider until it settles.

80 miles and it's still high. Wally, what lower arm bolts need to be loosened? I'm going to drive it all week. By next weekend if it doesn't settle then i'll do what you say.

Thanks

Wally's talking about where the lower a-arm pivots. 4 bolts per side. If it didn't move after 80 miles plus slamming on the brakes you've got a problem. Depending on how much driving you plan to do in the next week, you might wear your tires unevenly...

Dave . . I was very agressive with it yesterday. 50mph hard stops, big dips, it's still high. I'll leave it parked and I will work on it this coming weekend. It can't be that hard to fix. First it was too low & now it's too high. I can't win.

Call the mechanic first thing and ask them what they did to remove the suspension. Tell them your problem as they might have new ideas.

Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda, it's still a Porsche though. When i'm done (looking into a trans also), it will be done. All I gotta do is fix the A/C and my girl will drive it. Geez!

Its pretty obvious to me that you need to re-adjust your spring perches! My '85 R.O.W car has these, and you can adjust them with a motorcycle spring adjust tool. What was that ratio for number of turns of the adjuster for one inch of movement? You need to reference the manuals, but if I remember right you want to adjust the perches so that the reference surfaces are 170 mm above the ground.

Recommendation: When you adjust the perches, wear some heavy gardening gloves. Otherwise you'll tear your hands up!

B safe!

N!

Thanks Normy . . Adjusting is my last option. I have the tool but will wait to do what Wally suggested first then if that doesn't work, i'll adjust it down.

Dude, when you loosen the lower arm bolts as Wally said, If thats the problem the car may drop a little so be careful and expect some drop.

Wow, that is high. Loosening the lower control arm bolts has never made my 928 drop after torquing them with the car in the air. I'll be curious to see what it does for your car.

Are you sure you got the right springs and shocks?
