Today's my 11th anniversary with my 928. Maybe I'll go out and begin the work it will take to get her running again. Nah, I'll spend time with my daughter who turned twoi weeks old today. Life is good!
Well I had to take my baby out for a spin today! 9-28-04 Found out that the stall speed on the auto is more that enough....hard launch at 1800 rpm= more wheelspin than needed for good launch.....but damm was it fun! The car never ceases to put a smile on my face when I drive it!

I, too, celebrated the day with a little drive, killing a few hundred bugs that were hovering near Dumbarton bridge. On the way home I had a stretch of freeway all by myself; didn't quite make it to 120, though, before I had to step off. It was fun nevertheless...
I take a basic automotive car class with a friend (just tagging along), and usually 2-3 students will bring their own cars in to work on labs. I decided to bring my car in for the first time, and I had EVERYONE in the class surrounding my car. Nobody had really ever seen a 928 up close, so i've now expanded their horizons.
Some comments from kids:
"Whoa! THATS A SUPERCHARGER!"
"These things don't come supercharged do they?"
"Wow, you've got some class!" (from a girl)
"How do you smog this thing?" (from the teacher)
After class, I noticed a Ferrari 308GTS pulling out, so I followed it on the freeway and made an informal run against it. Needless to say, he couldn't keep up. I pulled away pretty easilly and we gave each other thumbs-up.
