Barry expressed it very well, the 1.8T is a over-engineered, very tough engine. It's weak point is the KO3 turbo, which sometimes dies around 100k. Best example, 105k, my car has a new turbo. But slap on a KO4, with re-flashed ECU, and as Barry said, you can get a reliable 300Hp, on all stock internals. I was pretty concerned about the mileage myself, but after doing a lot of reading on several Audi BBS, I found that alot of guys do have over 200k, and still going strong. Road and Track just had a very positive write up about used A4s, and noted it as being in their top five ever in such owner polls as "would you purchase another", and I believe average problems per car. It might still be out, I don't think a new one has come out yet. Shoot me an email, jessup3@***.net, and we'll talk, I have lots of pics.

I can't believe Porsche didn't make the off road package standard equiptment. Granted it would have raised the sticker price as it raised my selling price.

Matt . . . You should be thanking me. This front end problem could have been yours. But with my luck you probably would have fixed it already and be driving it with a lot of "miles of smiles".

I think the way the PPI goes, you want a PPI . . You pay for it. I might be wrong but I don't think so.

Guys - as a matter of course, the prospective buyer almost always arranges for, and pays the PPI.
This allows the buyer to have the inspection done by their own third party.
