Red face How many different 16V heads &/or cams are there?

Now that I've got your attention.

I've posted this 5 times now in other threads with no answers. Somebody must have this info somewhere:

How many different 16V heads &/or cams are there?

Is this accurate? What am I missing:

78-79 - All heads/cams the same
80-84 - US Heads/cams are the same
80-84 - "standard" Euro heads/cams the same
80-83 - Euro S Heads/cams the same
84-85 - Euro S Heads/cams the same

Do the Euro S and "Standard" Euro heads use the same cams? Are all of the "Euro S" cams the same? To many variables!!!

Cool, so it looks like all Euro S heads are the same as far as valve size goes. And the 84-85 Euro S Cams are "hotter" than the 80-83 Euro S cams.

I never realized the heads/cams were different on the 80-82 vs 83-84 US cars.

HP, All I can say is that you have an unpaid debt. We'd better get some scantily dressed blondes or your *** is grass and I am the Sun so forget the lawnmower.

We now expect pictures of blondes holding cams, standing on turbo 928 motors. I am going to pull this set of cams this weekend and do some measuring...

For the record, I did NOT change the title of this thread. I think a little 928 ferry with a 16V convertible did........

Carl - so, accoring to your diagram, the 78-79 cams are actually (dare I say) better than the Euro S cams?

What am I missing? They are smaller though, right?

No - they are not "better". No such thing. They are "different" One designed for lower end torque, and one designed for better top end HP.

I found some more pics for you too..

The lift , how far you open the valve is more important than duration , how long you do it ; when comparing these cams.
