My clutch hydraulic hose went out today (not the blue hose but the hose between master and slave cylinders). Fortunately it went out within a half-mile of the lift-equipped warehouse of a friend of mine from college who's a 928-driving mechanical engineer (the only better place for a breakdown would have been closer to the warehouse).
I haven't found a writeup for the replacement online or in the WSM.. Is it a straightforward job? Any pitfalls to watch out for?
Thanks.

Folks here will tell you that you can have a hydraulic-wise shop repair the hose. I've not tried that (yet.)

i have a related problem
I just realised the cylinder of the clutch pedal on the inside of the car is leaking at the top whenever i push the clutch in >.< now i got a small puddle of hydraulic fluid inside my car staining my already bad condition carpet (good save)
Anyone know how to fix this problem?? or do i have to replace that cylinder, it looks like it's gona be a bitch to pull out and i'm gona need a car lift :/

Mark the hose is on on the local FEDEX truck in Texas for morning delivery. It is an easy repair. Bleeding the slave is the only potential issue. You are not the first person to have a problem who jumps on their cell phone and gets parts the next morning. Indefactor X the later model hose is a different part number than the auction and Yes your Clutch master is failing. No need for a lift however because you can not see or access the clutch master from below.

The hose replacement took 2 hours. It would have taken a lot less time, but the connections were both corroded. A good soaking in Liquid Wrench seemed to do the trick. If I had to do it again, I would break the connections loose (19mm and 12mm wrenches; a flare nut 12mm wrench would probably have sped the job up) before removing the clips that hold the ends of the hose to their brackets.
