Carl,
It's not a matter of what you said in the e-mails. It's a matter of the message that Jim took away. It seems that if your were going to marketing Tim's kits you would have better info and wouldn't even have to ask these questions. It's all right here on rennlist. But then I guess you don't really keep up with rennlist. Jim says you-emaild him first about some sale you were having and provided me the e-mail with dates. Looks like a mass e-mail you sent asnd he replied. And it is clear that you did e-mail him before the message you provide below. It seems that you got his e-mail b/c he had communicated w/ Tim back in Nov. BTW I've already communicated w/ Tim about all this privately and I am pretty certian we came to an understanding that it was a big miscommunication.

Doh!

Well, guys it will be a while before I have anything resembling a TT setup for an S4. I have to talk to my wife first . Actually, I have the Goldmember in pieces doing a full rebuild, complete with the better bottom end I made last year. This car is a test bed for sure. The block is headed to America's Dairyland tomorrow! How far will I turn the screw? Those of you who know me, know I am conservative, so the answer will be a conservative number.

Stealth, well yes it is quite stealth. Most people don't know the difference when you pop the lid. That was a design goal. I will post pictures on here once I fit the entire setup to the Euro engine I have on the stand in the garage. This will be a full shot of everything, flow paths, intercooler, the whole shebang.

Hey, maybe we should call European car and have them do a test with all these modified 928s? Of course I am only game if there are other 4.5 liter cars, as those of you with the extra 500 ccs and better heads and cams have a clear advantage over me.

I am still wanting to see some performance numbers on the Murphy setup. Do they sell G-Techs in Wisconsin?...maybe I could send mine up with my block? Send Lag to a country road with the G-Tech and see what she will do!

Goldmember needs a better trans and will be getting a tight 3 speed in a few months time so I can actually put down that power without a slipping trans. Man, I have automatics...but the car was sooo clean for the money.

Just find some specs on the Mercedes SL55 AMG and figure a little better. At least at 10psi, but some of the guys are way beyond me...

Didn't you mean 4 speed??? Does it not just bolt up?

Now Now, you just can't use me as an example at all! I'm quite unique in my situation here. I get two one month vacations a year and have to fit both wrenching and driving in with the honey doo's and the obligatory visiting of relatives. Makes things tough. On top of that I have a complete interior that needs to be installed, which would be simple if the stuff going in was from the same MY car, it from an '89 and things are somewhat different, memory seats and such. As things are sitting Tim's kit which was slated for Heidi is now going into Helmut. I have owned Heidi since '99 and have done all the maintenance to her already and she is a good platform to bolt a supercharger to. Helmut is still a bit of an unknown to me right now since I bought him without any history and have had little time to spend yet checking his systems, although he kept pace with Heinrichs' S4 rather well. So to be fair, I'm taking my sweet *** time, but they will both get done.

My money is on Heidi as she will have a PHAT torque curve. I once dated a Heidi, a real piece of work that girl was.

No, I am sticking with the 3 speed, chaning to a 4 speed is a hassle, and I am on a budget, besides I will have ample torque to drive those wide gears. I estimate the Goldmember has close to, if not over 400 ft-lbs off the crankshaft.

You should have seen Shane's smile, it stretched all the way around his head, when we opened that huge box yesterday. For just a moment I was tempted to tear into his engine right then and there with him .... we shall see, but my money is on Shane in a supercharged 928 in BC Canada this weekend. I'll bring my nice new '85.

I'm going to be disapointed not meeting you guys on Saturday, if you try to do the S/C and can't get it done. But I would understand.
