Variable timing electronic control ?
Steve,
I am impressed.
What's been the history since the install?
If I start with a stock S4 engine, what modifications are required (strictly for the adaptation/conversion)? What would it cost?

There's a reason Sterling G. is the only one to pull this off. Besides the cost of custom cams, engine management and other hardware, it was probably a major PITA with countless hours of trial and error. The results are stunning according to everyone who has ridden in the car. We're all waiting for some dyno numbers once Sterling works out the final tuning. Should be awesome! He updates his website regularly with progress reports, so keep checking back.

I spent much time with Sterling at Wichita, it's easy .. he's a very nice guy. And his car is exactly like the Factory would have done it. From what I can glean from Sterling, I predict he will offer a solution in future
AS HE SHOULD.

I really doubt that Sterling will try to start a business based on building and selling a very expensive engine "upgrade" for the Porsche 928 others have tried that approach only to find that there are a very , very small number of people willing to spend that much money . It is not a very successful business plan . There are a lot more people (but still very few) willing to spend $6 - 8,000 than say $20,000 or $30,000 for increased performance which they only use a small part of the time . Sterling's exercise is a labor of love .
