Default Carpet options

Haven’t decided on the color yet but sliverknit vs plush. $600 difference, is the sliverknit worth it? Not a show car by any stretch.

if your keeping it I would opt for the Sliveknit,
its an awful lot of work to do it with inferior replacement parts.

I haven’t decided on keeping it or not yet. I’m enjoying driving it for now. The musty smell won’t go away so next up is carpets and seat replacement.

get some mold killer spray and spray the interior floors after you have removed the carpets,
as well as the back sides of the door panels and insides the doors,
make sure to fit new vapor barriers to the door s.
NOTE for a quieter ride fit a few sheets of sound deadener material to all the floors, and hatch floor before you install the new carpets.

Already did most of this after a recommendation in another thread. I shampooed the carpets three times, drying in between. Then used an ozone machine. Then “washed” the carpets with a diluted odoban solution again drying in between. Carpets still have an odor. Seats as well.

When I recarpeted mine, I decided not to use the Slivernit to because I didn't like the way it "pills up" after time, and think the carpet I used looks more modern. I'm very pleased and get compliments all the time.

Car still has a bit of a smell but not nearly like it was with the original carpet and pads.

Where did you get it? How was the fit? Were you able to get padding from them as well? I’ve been looking at GAAH but there’s no padding option.

Got my kit including pads from Classic 9 circa 2019. Fit fine with some pieces requiring trimming.
