Find that GTS, and then sell them your car for the collection!
Or...
Find a GTS with a tan interior, and repaint it lime green!
Then you will have two matching cars.
The purple interior on that other car might be a bit much.

Pls post more pics especially her rear with simple background, so I can add it to my Webshot screensaver !!!
You keep these phone dial wheels, right ? They look great, too.

So Chuck Z.,
Have you got a trailer and hitch assembly on the Cayenne to tow
your new baby to them 928 events.
I can't imagine you in the lindgrun and John K. on the BRP.
It was crazy enough last time.
Ernest (NYC) So anyone still make a nice 8-track head unit for you OB guys.

One thing particularly surprises me about this awesome car: It has the 15" wheels. According to all the information I have, these wheels became standard on the Automatic in the 1980 or 1981 model year, I've never seen any mention of them for earlier years.
Anybody have more info on this? Maybe a 15" rim with a manufacturing date before 1980 on it?

Oh, BTW: If anybody is interested, I still have a good hand full of the first ever published brochures on the 928. There are nice pictures of a pre-production 928 with a few interesting details...
Those brochures are brand new, and can be ordered online at http://www.auctionworks.com/store/it...15&id=14277662

Nicole,
I have a brochure from 1978 where it says the 15" wheels are standard of the automatic equipped cars and 16" wheels came standard on 5-speed cars. If I get a chance, I'll scan it today and post pics.

Chuck: I just rechecked - and you are right! how could I miss that??? It's listed on the "Technical Data" sheet.
Either way, that's the one upgrade I'd consider: 16" wheels...
Now you need to get one of these trailers that can carry multiple cars, so you can take both your gems to the 928 gatherings. Or get one of these motorhomes like the racers use.
Thanks again for adopting that one!

My bet is that 9 and 3 in sticker tell interior colors. Would need much more data to say what's what.

That engine bay in unbelievable! That is the type of car you read about finding. Save that car for sunny day drives and keep it indoors the rest of the time and DON'T modify anything on it. I doubt there is a nicer 78 anywhere. Who knows that car might be worth a real bundle of cash in 15 or 20 years.
