Question Any & All Forum Problems (Shrinking Pic for Avatar)

Folks, I am about as computer illiterate as they come. (I still swear that the only reason for computers and the Internet was to make it easier to look at ****) I have Adobe Photoshop or whatever it's called, and I have shrunk the file size, and actual pic size, and now have it down to about 350 KB. Still way too big for the 19.5 KB limit for an Avatar. What do I do now???? TIA,

Hey gang -

There is a new forum named 'Rennlist Help and Feedback Forum' available in the forum jump dropdown list:

https://rennlist.com/forums/forumdis...sprune=30&f=75

Please use that area for all forum-related problems you may be experiencing. As that forum grows, users will be able to search previous topics for help on their problems.

What version of Photoshop do you have? Yours may pre-date Save For Web. If so, save the file as a JPEG. When you do, it should give you a dialog box that let's you tweek the image compression and see how large a file will be created.

Here's the pic I'm working on. Currently it's 35KB, and that's the smallest I can get it using you guy's tips. It did reduce from 350KB to 35KB, but won't seem to go any more. Thanks for all the help and tips. Drewster, I would have e-mailed it, but I didn't have your address, and I haven't figured out yet how to navigate the new Rennlist format to find it.

Not a problem per se, just a preference: can you make links stand out a bit more? Different color or underlining perhaps?
