Mark, have tape and incar action converted to mpeg, burn it as VCD, SVCD or DVD and sell it through the shop. Should pay itself and maybe make some profit.

Great job this weekend Mark! Congrats on the hard-charger award.
Here are a couple videos I shot from the stands in Turn 2. (Thanks for the cool-off lap powerslide, I wish I caught that on tape)
Mark in Turn 2 and the esses (8 MB)
Mark on the big screen & on the track (5 MB)

I've just added the tape to our online store to make it easy to order.
http://www.mailordercentral.com/928i...s.asp?dept=145
The tape will have the incar footage as well as the TV brodcast. Hope you enjoy,

They finally imposed the 110% rule, meaning, i was totally fine in practice, running a season best 1:51.3 vs the top three cars running in the 1:42s. However, in the qualifying, the million dollar teams did what million dollar teams can do. run a qual set up and run a faster time. (almost 2 seconds faster, and over 1 second faster than last seasons record setting Bill Auberlin in his PTG BMW at a way too light 2350lbs!!) I needed a 1:50.5 to qualify, and on the short track, thats a 1:48.5. (very fast) . However, in the race, they were back to 1:43s. Kind of a strange rule, especially for this type of series.
Anyway, It was kind of a messy discussion in the SCCA trailer, but they had to draw a line because of slower and inexperienced drivers earlier in the season taking out leading cars in earlier races. I said, " what about consistancy, skill , and good ole racing?" they understood, but had to keep consistant with the other decisions they had made. Ironically, the back 5-8 cars either crashed or had a mechanical, while the rest of them lost concentration and were running 1:55 to 2:00 laps near the end. my car does 1:50-1:51s all day long with no issues. too bad, that could have been good for a 15th finishing. very hard to swallow, but heck, you know what they say, thats racing!!!!! Laguna may be easier to qualify for , as for some reason, im closer to the leaders there than at Sears. (Infinion)
Anyone want to see another 928 up front??? need a stroker donation!
Anyway, had a great time helping out Mark Anderson in the pits on the radio. for the first time, watched every single lap of a race from the pits.
I was able to study each car near him and give him suggestions on what the guy was going to do, and where his strong points were. I looked like it may have helped on occasion or at least allowed him to relax and concentrate on the race. the green shouting over the radio also is a great advantage as I could see the starter better than anyone and relay the information to Mark Anderson as his arm started to move!
His car was equal to many of the top million dollar front runners. as far as hp , he was right in line. he wasnt really pulling on anyone, in fact, the mustang saleen battle was very interesting. both cars had there advantages and favorite places on the track. however the saleen got tangled with a very fast vet that was running down Mark A and the field. ( Lou Giolotti) and took both of the cars out, leaving only a lone Viper comp coupe to dream of 10th place over Mark A.
For proof of the hp advantages/disavantages, the SCCA folks were taking speed Traps speeds at the start finish line. the fastest car was 1:29mph, while Mark anderson was a very fast 126mph. my ole Holbert car was 111mph, as I just redline at the start finish in 3rd gear to shift to 4th.
Most all the not marque cars were 125mph. Mark had a weight advantage to some, at 2900lbs vs the vet 3100lbs. However, if anyone noticed, these guys had most of the car apart after each and every session, with spare engines ready to install, and 8 guys pushing the cars around near tech. it was amazing to see Mark Anderson with his little trailer, out in the dirt, beat most of the teams out there!! Nice Job Mark, glad I could have been apart of the event with you!
As far as punting off Galati, that was a error on Michael's part as I saw it. if you see a guy close enough to stick their nose to your rear door, you got to leave a little tiny bit of room. he didnt, shut the door, and got a front wheel to rear wheel contact that sent him spinning. seen it a million times. Nice to see the 20 year old 928 beat he multi million dollar series champion. However, he was nursing a gear box problem too, so it would have been better for him to just let Mark by.

Thanks for the perspective, Mark. Brian and I were just shaking our heads at that one viper, the silver with black stripe. All he was doing was wasting gas and rubber. His car was misfiring and he was sloppy in the corners. He must have had a much better Q time but IMHO he had used up everything he had going for him -- which wasn't much to begin with -- in the first 1/4 of the race. In 20/20 hindsight they should have given you his slot, but so it goes.
Hopefully next time will make up for it!
BTW, here's the pic of Mark Anderson from the other infineon thread:

Thanks Dave!! Thats how I saw it, but I just dont understand how the viper, the other porsche and even the turbo (white 996turbo) were lally gagging around the last half of the race! I would have loved to been there. Like I said, it could have been my best finish yet, and with all the restarts, could have been a lot of fun!!
anyway, here is another picture of mark in a pack of animals. glad he was in the front of this mayhem. He has no idea how lucky he was (skilled) to make those 5 passes at the original start. Lots of guys got spun around by some sloppy driving!!!
