As has been stated already in this forum elsewhere, Rain-X causes windshield wipers to drag and squeak and generally renders them inefficient, though in a pinch it works if the wipers are non-operative. How does Rejex compare on glass? Will it adversely affect the wipers on the front and back glass? I can see it on the side glass. Anyone have any experience with it on the windshield?

By the way, I have seen Dave's car both before and after and can say that the difference is noticeable immediately.

Ron, I put it on all my glass. All of my wipers operate without complaint whether the glass is wet or dry. I still occasionally bump my front wiper switch when I start the car by reaching through the window, and once I activated the rear when I meant to turn on the defogger. Otherwise I don't have much occasion to use my wipers, except after hosing off the car. I'll let you know if anything develops after we get some REAL rain.

thanks for posting the follow up pic of your car. it's still looking great!!!
very nice.

well, below is a link to my website which offers you the ability to buy RejeX online at the Rennlist discount price. this page is not accessable from my web site. you have to have the link below in order to be able to GET TO THIS purchase page. of course, you can still call me at 800-559-1192 to place an order or if you have questions, but i hope this new page makes ordering RejeX a little easier.

I just talked to Barry. He is very clear about saying that you must remove the oxidation first before applying and to wipe off very well. I've got a nice finish on mine with no oxidation. I just bought 2 bottles. I mentioned on an earlier thread that the interior skin needs to be addressed to inhibit corrosion. Illinois Toolworks LPS Laboratories at 1-800-241-8334 has the spray that I mentioned for the interior skin surface. Will have a report in a few weeks.

Thumbs up Rejex - my pics

I finally did the deed and spent a night Rejexing the 928!
First, I washed it w/Dawn dishwashing liquid to get rid of the wax build-up, etc. Then I applied one coat of Rejex by hand, one section at a time. Did the entire car within a few hours. I used about 1/4 of a bottle. I must say that I'm very impressed! I could tell an immediate improvement over the near-perfect wax job it had! I let it cure over night as prescribed. By the way, my motivation for rejexing the 928 was our local PCA club had our annual picnic/car show and I wanted to win the "People's Choice" award....and I did! My first car/show trophy. Hopefully one of many. Many people commented about the shiny reflection.

The reflection/gleam is GREAT compared to all other waxes I've used in the past. It beads-up and dries-up MUCH better than any other waxes I've used in the past. I'm in the process of rejexing my '95 GMC and will post some before/after pics when I get some time.

I'm telling all my friends/co-workers what a great product this is. Remember, this is just one coat. I plan to add one more coat soon. Put it on the glass and wheels too! If you haven't tried it yet and you're concerned about using it on your Porsche, do as I did - - try it on your daily beater (pickup, lawn mower, whatever). I think you'll be impressed. I certainly was.

Hope you enjoy these pics.

WOW!!!
your pictures are great. and you WON a trophy at the show. that's very cool. i've entered a couple of shows, but i've never won anything based upon judging. i won a plaque once because a 'celebrity' judge thought i had a cool car, but not because it really deserved an award.

i'm glad that your happy with RejeX.

by the way, mr. siegel placed an order based upon your recommendation. thank you very much. you're becoming one of our best salesmen. thanks.

RejeX is still $16.09 and $2 for standard shipping.... it's the rennlist discount. be sure to use our new RejeX discount ordering page. it's fast and easy. here's the link....

http://www.x-autoproducts.com/pages/forumpurchase.htm

we'll be at the SEMA / APEX shows next week. hopefully we'll be able to strike some deals that will get RejeX on some more store shelves.

thanks all

I'll add to the thread that I put RejeX on my 89 after doing a bit of buffing to try to get all the fine scratches out of the rock hard factory pant. I've previously believed that most anything over properly buffed paint just dulls it, but RejeX surprised me. I like it. It does a nice job of protecting from the elements, such as bird droppings and sap. They more or less fall off. And RejeX is remarkably easy to apply and buff. Can't say I appreciate the name they chose for it, but I think I know what they were trying to convey.
