Thumbs up Roger Clemens' 928 Strosek Widebody - sold at charity auction after 9/11

Howdy All,
Thought you all might like to see this one. I hope it is not a re-run. Nice looking car. Notice anything interesting about the engine bay photo?!

For fun...do a search on the auction company's site to see what other interesting 928s have sold recently...

Best,
Tim

Now that is a nice widebody kit!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only thing I don't like about it is the "Corvette" treatment to the hatch. If they would've just left the hatch glass the way it was, this would've been perfect. Add a big honkin supercharger, and then you have the power to go with the look. Sweet!!!!!!!

Wow, NICE... full stealth. No badge, no lettering on the rear... I wonder if the rear trim still says 928? Damn few will be able to guess the make, let alone the model. I agree about the hatch, though that's an easy fix. What bugs me is the headlights. Oh, well, call me old fashioned...

I have to agree jayc67, but I can say that it's far less offensive than most of the "improved" 928's.

The history on this car is may help keep the value up.

The car was originally given to Roger Clemens when he won the Cy Young (his first) and the MVP award in 1986, when he was with the Red Sox. He kept the car up until 2001 when he decided to donate it to the 9/11 fund.

The bidder that bought the car at the 9/11 fund auction recently sold Rogers car at The Barrett Jackson auction for $33k.

This 928 will always command a higher price than any other simply because the original owner is a lock for the Hall of Fame with 300+ career wins and over 4000 strike outs.

Who knows if Roger Clemens ever wins a Cy Young in the National League or another World Series it could be worth more. ---- If he comes back to Boston and wins it all for the Sox--- I will give him my car!

I had Martina Navritolova's (sp) 308GTSi for a while, and it never helped the value of my car. Maybe the fact that she never had ANY maintenance performed on the thing hurt the value... ugh, bad memories there.

It is an interesting vehicle, owned by a famous person, but even then, a price of twice what a comparable car is worth is amazing to me. Nice to see a 87 S4 selling so high I guess, gives me some hope for the value of mine.

There is a dark blue car with the identical body kit in Miami and it looks stunning. This kit looks very nice.

It is the best of the modifies beasts that I've seen. LOL the comment by Moon that he'd give Roger his car if he comes back to Boston.
