I think its a killer idea and It would really look good if we could get them to come through the rocker panel instead of under it....... I amy be looking into just that this weekend. I think a nice finished oval hole in the rocker with a polished stainless hypodermis needle cut pipe would look high performance as hell.

Nice work....bet it sounds good too. I particularly like your take on the "spinnaz" craze as applied to the exhaust tip.
What is the fella's name who was at SITM 2004 who had the Corvette-style SIDE PIPES? I drove behind him on the BRP...was surprised how nice the exhaust note was and how nice the addition looked. His is a very tastefully done modification...

Fiberglass rocker panel ground effects could be added,
with a hole for the exhaust exit...

Porken, I have been thinking about the side exit for a LONG time. The on
ly thing that has stopped me, is that I absolutely LOVE the way my exhaust sounds now, and I'm hesitant to change it. I've looked at the Spintech set-up, as well as one from Classic Mustang (I think that's the name).
What I would prefer to do with mine, is put 2 small bullet mufflers on the end of my DR. Gas X-pipe, and then route the pipes to 2 side exit boom tubes. (look at the Nascar Catalog on Spintech's website) They are thin height wise and should provide plenty of ground clearance. I still may eventually do it.

That red car BC Davis posted is beautiful. Is that a one off? Side exhaust through a rocker like that would look great and stay tasteful.

I was looking through that site, there is some interesting stuff. I wish I'd looked into SpinTechs sooner.
If you do redo your exhaust, I recommend doing like I did, and make at least part of the system removeable, so you can change the configuration if you like.

I tried a simple weighted flappy, without something to hold it in one position (like a vacuum solenoid), it just clangs and makes more noise than the exhaust.
If I keep the side exit for an extended period, I will need to put some other noise reduction; it's just too loud. But she sounds great! Feels like a race car. I can't help pushing the back end out around corners, just to hear her snarl.

Man, I hate other people fabbing for me...
This makes it a bit quieter at low speeds, and highway cruise:
The resonator is capped; it's only acting as a sound wave absorber at low speeds, at higher rpms the exhaust bypasses it.

I had an idea, but no torch to cut a hole, so I took it to the muffler shop were I buy bends from, but they put the resonator in the wrong angle/spot!
Oh well, I wanted to see if it works mostly, I'll have to cut it and reweld it so it doesn't hit the body after bumps.

Porken, Spintechs site also has the Ford style ball/socket joints that are virtually leak proof. I was thinking of re-doing the exhaust with those, that way I can change back to what I'm currently running in just an hour or so.
That way come Friday afternoon, just drop the exhaust, slip on the side exits, tighten it down and play for the weekend. Sunday evening, put her all back the way she was. With the ball/socket joints, removal/install would be a breeze, and the system "should" be leak free.
BTW, what do you think about those NASCAR boom tubes??? I like how thin they are. Almost stealthy when it comes to side exit.
