Default Pics of my repaint, re-carpet, re-dye interior

I've been busy

Re-paint (color change from grey to Arena Red)
Re-carpet (color change from grey-beige to cashmire)
Re-dye interior leather (color change from putty-grey to saddle tan)
Renew lots of rubber seals and parts.

I stripped the car down to nothing and had a body shop paint the shell and many loose individual parts. They also replaced the windshield.
I brought the car back to my garage and spent the last two months putting the car back together with the new carpet kit and the interior which I re-dyed using Leatherique dye. The car is 95% done.

Greg

WOW!

The paint looks nice, but that interior *really* goes well with that red exterior.
The wheel is a perfect match as well. I love the combo of the tan and red
on the interior... Very cool!

Wow, what a lot of work, it turned out beautiful!

That's a wonderful color combination.

Congrats and enjoy!

That's impressive! I had no idea a leather dye would turn out that well. Congrats on a fine job!!!

Awesome! Is that Rubinrot I see? If it is, my car is identical to yours in colors, but mine is an '83. I am currently waiting for a left quarter then it's off to the body shop. So I can drool over yours knowing what mine is going to look like.

Nice job, Greg. Some people didn't care for the tan interior, but I always loved it in my 81 Euro.

Thanks for all of the positive comments on the car.

Wheels next? Mike
Gotta start looking for some! The stock wheels have a "bling factor" of zero.

Greggles-
what kind of steering wheel is that?"
I got it from Gordon on Ebay. There are a number of aftermarket wood wheels and shifters available on Ebay for not much $.

What are your thoughts on the Leatherique Dye?
I Like it. If you follow their instructions, the results are good. It takes time, which I had plenty of since the car was at the paint shop for a while. I still have a couple of small streaks which I can wet-sand and re-apply dye, if needed.

84R "Arena Red Metallic" It's a Porsche color but I'm not sure if it was ever a 928 color.

Great looking car Greg, where did you get the carpet (and how much if you don't mind)?

Great paint job. Do you mind if I ask how much for the paint job?

$600 from 928 Specialists.

Hard to pinpoint. The body shop owner and I are personal friends, do business trades and favors for each other so there really isn't a bill. that's one reason why I did the dis-assemble and re-assemble work. The body shop had to basically prep, prime, scuff and spray the car. allot less labor for them when it's stripped prior to arrival at the body shop and they don't have to put anything back on it before it leaves.
