Red face Stupidest-immature things you have attempted while driving your car

Hi there. Mr. saxapeel gave me this idea from his last thread. What have you done driving your car that makes you think back -DID I REALLY DO THAT! I did a brake stand in my garage and hit the the bench that holds my tool box ,vice and crap. Needless to say -I had to have repairs done!

944S - 145+ mph on a two lane farm road

944S - Blind on ramp with friends following, doing just a tick over 80mph. Rear end came around at the top. Thank god no one was coming since I drifted past the left lane onto the shoulder trying to catch it.

944S - on my way to a storage facility about 30 miles north of my house. Doing about 110mph, see a state trooper coming the other way. Light on the cop car instantly. I knew his closest turn around was about 1/2 mile back, no way he could drive the ditch. I floor it, switch to a "scenic" road along the bay, park and wait. I see him go flying on the over pass of the highway I was just on.

Beetle - Testing top speed on x-mas eve (hade the car less than a month) see a cop coming the other way. I was doing a tick over 110, she wouldn't go any faster. I didn't brake, just put the car in neutral. When I passes the cop, I was still doing 95mph. He ended up giving me a verbal warning for doing 20 over (55mph zone)

Prelude - 1995 - coming home from Chicago, doing 120 down the interstate at about 4am. 3-lane highway, semi in the laft and right I decided to split the middle. Coming over a hill, I'm just reaching the back of each semi's trailer when my radar detector goes full lights on. By the time I hit the brakes, I was even with the cab of the trucks and stayed there. He must have not gotten a read on me.

Caddy Deville, 2004 rental on the way to USGP. Did a burnout leaving he rental car place.
Couldn't get used to the corners, parked it pretty hard into the concrete wall of the parking garage, twice.
115mph on the way home racing an Audi.

when i bougt my car i had bald tires. I decided it was still safe to drive in the rain anyways, turns out, thats not really such a hot idea with such a powerful car. i flipped the car sideways while turning left onto a two lane road with cars coming both directions. I kept my foot on the gas and flipped it back straight in just the nick of time.

I am quite willing to admit to occasional acts of stupidity, but I'll not be my own prosecutor................Besides, none of my stories are all that interesting, just stupid............

Too many to list. Most involving alcohol. Then i grew up.

Dumbest thing i can think of as an adult is trying to truck home a 1/2 yard of topsoil in my Ford Ranger. Remember the picture of the Jetta with the wood on the roof.....

Topsoil is much heavier than mulch!

I'd like to know what the 928 does to you . Stupid things that you would never attempt with your other mundane car. M!

I pulled into the parking lot at the local Lowes about a month ago. Some guy about 20 years old was walking across, and his eyes were glued to my car. Just for kicks...I did two donuts. I thought he was going to pee his pants~

Hmmm... I've already mentioned on my site the time I did a minutes-long brakestand in a back alley, blanketing all 6 lanes of the main drag with smoke during a weekend "cruise night"... think "American Graffiti". This was ~20 years ago. Outside of that... I'll take the fifth.

No bragging- just admitting that driving this car may do something to a persons mindset - just once . Surely you can't be immune!

Cool

Sorry...I don't kiss and tell but let's just say that receiving is better than giving when driving

Hmmm....racing another 928 at 110mph on Hwy 5 just before rush hour? Totally fun, but the muggles kept getting in the way.

Well if I could pick a story, it would be Normy's...........and no, I already said I am not immune..............just chagrined.

And, oh by the way, The car never made me do anything.............I did it all on my own. Which reminds me of a funny story.

A couple of years ago a French Canadian trucker driving a load of lumber through Boston lost control of his truck and FUBAR'ed the southeast expressway ramp comming into the city. He was drunk as a skunk. He had a cat with him. When the cops asked him what happened, he said :

"it wasn't me, it was the cat".....................
