It is on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7909034210
If someone here wants it - BEFORE THERE ARE ANY BIDS - I will sell it for the opening bid amount ($3195).
Here's a cut'n'paste of the description in the eBay listing:
Lack of time and money force me to abandon a Porsche 928 Track Car project. So - My loss could be your gain.
1985 Porsche 928 EURO Engine - Model M28/21 - 310 HP/295 ft/lb Torque.
This is one of THE MOST SOUGHT-AFTER 928 engines. IN FACT - JUST THE CAMS from one of these recently sold on eBay for $1500!!!
This auction INCLUDES BOTH ENGINE CONTROL COMPUTERS! (these alone are worth $1500!).
Here's the story from the guy I bought this motor from - After having a complete tune-up and TIMING BELT/WATER PUMP replacement at about 50k miles - the car was T-boned about 2 weeks later. It has a SACHS clutch upgrade (tho - one of the clutch plates may have gotten slightly damaged in the wreck). I personally pulled this motor from the wreck - and all appears consistent with the story (hey - it was OBVIOUS the car was T-boned!). In the picture - I have removed part of the timing belt cover so that you can see that it is VERY new!)
SORRY - I CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CRATING AND SHIPPING - BUT - will consider delivery within 500 miles of Pensacola, FL for $1/mile. If you come and pick it up, I have an engine hoist and can help you load.
Unlike some recent eBay 928 engine sales - this one is REAL and is in my garage. If you want a picture of a particular part or angle - just ask (I will be out of town 7/6-9 - so make your requests quickly.
$500 deposit within 72 hours of auction end....remainder within 7 days. I can store it for you for however long it takes you to pick it up (within reason!)
BID WITH CONFIDENCE - SEE MY FEEDBACK.

Not the best engine set up for boost, the compression ratio is 10.4:1. You would definately want to lower that before putting very much boost into that engine.

An interested bidder ask me how difficult it woud be to adapt this to an AUTO car. It's just a matter of changing out clutch pack for flex plate and swapping bell housings...RIGHT????
