Default '94 GTS Salvage Round 2 or 3?

Well the EZ Fix 94 GTS is back on Ebay.

94 Salvage GTS

Let's see what it goes for this time. No reserve.
Anybody remember what it sold for last time?

Why, why, why, oh why if it is so easy to fix hasn't the seller dropped a couple grand and fixed the thing? Something does not add up.

Previous listing:

A little eBay trick: Want to see other items a seller has had up in the last 30 days? Select "View Seller's other items". In the URL address line in the browser window that opens showing current listings, change the value of the "&since=" variable from "-1" to "30" and hit Go.

Or at least check the damn thing out and find out why nobody picks the car up? Anyone close to Indiana that can go look at it for entertainment purposes?

Default I had it checked out

I had it checked out by a shop in Indy at a cost to me of $240.The total bill to repair it and to bring the maintanance up came out to $30523. This included over $12000 in body work. The engine and transmission were in good shape but needed a belt and water pump and a 60000 mile service. The rear hatch had been replaced and the rear Quater panels had been repaired and painted. The battery box wouldn t accept the proper battery and the rear bulkhead had been moved forward approximatly 2 inches.2 wheels were bent and all wheels needed to be refinished. The paint was in poor shape due to what the shop called oxidation by what looked to be acid rain. The shop said the car was hit very hard in the rear and was saveable but was worth about $8000 but certainly not worth the $19000 plus that the bidding was bringing.I felt that the shop was on the high side of all the estimates and that you could probably piece it together for about 2/3rds of the estimate with your own work and buying parts from salvage yards and e bay.I offered the owner $ 12000 but the owner never returned my messages.I can send the repair estimates if anyone is interested!

WOW, interesting. Thanks for the info. The stuff you mention doesn't add up to $18K though(outside of the bodywork). Can you post a scan of the estimate?

Damn, I love Rennlist! Ask a question and get an answer... at least if it's a GTS...

Well, it seems fixable, but it would need to be a pretty reasonable price.
Either you have to figure in the cost of all the body repairs, or you have to think of it in terms of a fair price for just the engine...
