Mine is hot also, and it sometimes is a drag. Now that my AC is functioning properly it is bearable, but the face of the console is unbearably hot, particularly the radio face. And my motor mounts are ok, and the foam and heat shield are in good shape. I live with it When I rebuild my torque tube, etc., perhaps the solution will be revealed.

Hi You Dudes are Sooo Funny! He He!

Well Yes The Car does feel heavy. I came out of a Golf GTI. And there is a big Difference in the way it feels. Both have plenty of power and German ride quality’s, for road comfort and handling. Even the Golf GTI 3 & 4 is a heavy compared two the first Rabbit/Golf GTI. That was fast and Powerful and very Nibble! The 928 is Not nimble …. …. At 80 or 100 mph Sure it's then a bit nimble, sure-footed and responsive but the average day-to-day driving it’s a Load!

Well That enough for now!
THANKS for your thoughts! Brittany Chen Li

A good fix to this problem is to order the console seal provided by Jager.
It is inexpensive and does a good job of sealing the shifter from the cabin.

By the way the heat shield recall is no longer available from Porsche dealers. I tried to request one a few years back. The original heat shield is inadequate in preventing overly hot cats from catching the car on fire according to Porsche on the 85/86 MY. I always get a little nervous when I notice odors that suggest something is too hot in the car. The fire estinguisher was one of my first additions to my interior.

928 Int'l suggests replacing the 85/86 shield with an 87. FWIW

I like Car races! It’s the car that matters!

American car companies Cheat! American Cars Suck!

Nascar Drivers trained on a Merry go Round!

No offence to you my dear!
I know you got good taste.

But I enjoy Mindless activities also.

and Collect Pictures of Beautiful women!..ahhh..
Strictly for references for work you know!!!! he he

I also Drive hours at a time down back woods, twisty, country roads at 100+ miles per hour with no place to go. Only to get nowhere the turn around and drive back home.

I guess you've never heard of Infineon Raceway or Watkins Glen - not exactly roundy rounds.

And if by chance you were into Nascar, you would know the car is different each and every race - and that they are not quite your average "american car". Talking to mechanics and pit crew members (if you have the opportunity) about how the car is set up, what transmissions are used, what testing is done, what the car is equipped with, etc. etc. really is interesting and actually quite amazing.

Anyways, I don't expect anyone to agree with me - and I really don't care. I know most people who are into Porsche's are not into Nascar. I know that. So I'm the odd ball, I love Nascar and that's that. And as for American car manufacturers - they suck no more or less than European manufacturers. It's all political how car companies operate and what restrictions are placed on them.

Anyways, just my opinion.
