It is a few minutes North of San Francisco. If you get a V1 and start now you should make it in plenty of time to see the race. You said you like to drive at triple digit speeds with no particular destination. Take Hwy 40 through Amarillo and Flagstaff and as you get closer to the West Coast the posted limits increase. You'll like the road, right Beth?? Maybe we can organize a BAR drive for you when you get here. Remember to slow for the towns....Smokey gets more irritated the closer you get to a town.

Brittany,

It seems like a waste to pull motor mounts if they are still doing their job but just sagging alittle, it would be alot of work. Please let me know if possibly buying an extra block of foam thats thicker takes care of it. I have a similar problem.

Alittle off topic: I see that your in the Maine area at times but also in Florida....Sounds like a nice way to live. Do you drive to and from? I did it a couple years back and it was a nice trip.

You seems pretty ambitious, you must be mechanically talented..? Guys, just think, another woman who enjoys 928's, how great is that? Are you still single?

(Fingers crossed)

Work flys me mostly, Drive a Vw Jetta other times. Never Fun, To busy of a life with only work is a Drag! I hardly get to Maine any more use to be able to claim the miles. Still single most likely always will be. I try to work on the cars when I can afford it the money goes to bills and other bills and sometime bills. I hope to find a office job somewhere? Any way thanks for asking.
Happy 4th to all Happy to be in the USA !!

Favorite quote from Brittany
Le Mans, Cool That is racing!!! The Audi TT Makes me hot between my seat!
Wow, I thought all the guys here had Beth and Nicole on the proverbial pedestal because of their knowledge and enthusiasm for the 928 Now I learn about Brittany, another hard working woman who is passionate for the 928 as well as scuba diving and martial arts. Pinch me...

EDIT -

Hey, Hey, Hey......let's not forget about Jessa. And what about Susan Thomas and her enthusiasm and knowledge? My experience with 928 Specialists leads me to believe that Jeannie also possesses a bit of 928 savvy as well.

Brittany,
I'd like to push through the crowd to say "hi", but there are too many ahead of me - and they mostly seem to be drooling, and standing on their tongues - - I don't know why? ....
BTW, if I followed the core of the thread, there may be a quick and economical trick regards the foam seal/motor mount issue. Jaegar Eng sell a sorbothane pad that fits between the oil pan and cross member ( a 'support' for sagging mounts). It will lift the eng slightly, and with your block of foam - the rest is obvious ..... a fairly easy trial to temper the heat.

Hi Garth, Cool I think Many will benefit from this Fun Post. Hot between the seat is not a good thing. And it may be a little unimportant problem, But its a Drag.
PS..I know very little about the 928 and my car just glad you ALL are there to help. IF there are that many 928 Girl owners out there WONDERFUL!!!
I'm sure all know much more than I. I am a dummy on this stuff but I just like to try to fix stuff my self.

Chris if I ever find or take a good shot of me,fine I'll post it . Like I said I'm just a average short girl. No Barbie here!
and as I said before its the Car that matters.
Luv you all Britt

I think my foam is missing as I have the same problem. Motor mounts are fairly new though. What type of foam should I use to replace the missing foam?

Exactly my thoughts on that. Brit, I dont ever want to date a barbie doll again, I'm cured of that fiasco! Our company is looking for someone who has the right office experience for a manufacturing shop. PM me if your interested.

Cool

New TV Guide showed up today. The "Grand Prix of Sonoma, an American Le Mans Series,..." will be covered on CBS, Sunday, 18th, 3-5 PM EST.

You get a chance to see Porsches, Lamborghinis, Audis, Ferraris, etc. some looking very much like street legal cars, others like Formula 1, etc. 4 classes.
