That is a great looking, tastefully done, unique 993 for sure.

I like the 993 color and the interior except for the houndstooth on the dash around the gauges,
to me it makes for a more distracting environment,
esp when looking at the gauges.
BUT like everything else once your used to it it can be tuned out.

My Yellow car with the white leather dash is a prime example,
the sun shines onto the dash and pod,
then that light is reflected off the interior of the windshield and makes for a big area of glare.
I had a custom leather cover made for the top of the pod in black leather, it does a great job of reducing straight ahead glare.
but the passenger side still is pretty bright during the day.

I have the same feelings like Stan about the 993. superb craftsmanship but too much Hahnentritt.
The cockpit is for sure to much.

It cost me $900 to do this in leather here in Houston.

I know a fellow 928 owner who sent his dash, pod, center console, center vent and glove box off to Just Dashes over a year ago. The results have been mixed. The texture, according to him, is perfect.

During all this Just Dashes has been very responsive and has paid shipping both ways as the issues are addressed. Impressive.

The plastic they use is quite a bit thicker than the Porsche version and according to the owner Just Dashes uses a foam layer get the height to the OEM level. And there lies the rub

Thickness becomes an impediment to fitment.

The additional thickness adds up to the point the center console interferes with the glovebox door fitment and the glovebox itself does not fit. The window switches do not quite fit. As well as the shifter surround.

The space between the pod and the dash is much tighter and can limit your ability to adjust the pod up and down.

He thinks if Just Dashes would reduce the thickness of the foam underlayment all these issues would go away. I would agree considering a lot of folks are using vinyl and that's way thicker than OEM.

YMMV

It would look different than the original vinyl as it wouldn't be an exact match to the existing pieces. There would be a slight height difference but you would be able to adjust the center console and glove box to compensate.
