Hi All,
Finally got to finish processing all the SITM pics.
What a great weekend. Fine cars. Fine folks.

Great pics, Ernest... thanks for posting! Too bad it's such a long drive for me... I'd have enjoyed it.

Great pictures. It was nice meeting you.

Lots of fun at dinner, watching John K. "sharing" dessert...

Great pics as always Ernie. It really is great to have a photographer like you around to document these wonderful events.

Also, thanks again for the picture of my car. I picked up a frame a few days after we got back, and it is now proudly hanging in the living room. It looks AWESOME!!!!!!!! Thanks again.

Ernest,
Nice photos...many thanks for sharing them with us. It was great to meet you...enjoyed our conversations over the course of the weekend and at dinner the first night with Chris Banus and his family. I still think the service at the Holiday Inn was deplorable...food OK...but sooooo slow. I guess that is what happens when 100 928 enthusiasts enter a feeding frenzy, eh? Next time I'll bring a protein bar to tide me over...

Hey, any chance you snapped some photos of my guards red 89 s4 you didn't post up here? I'd love to have them...I didn't take enough pictures that weekend...too busy ogling Sharks

Thank you,
Tim

Hi guys and gals,
Thanks for making this a fantastic SITM. It's my third
and the most fun I've had.
You 928 folks just make these drive and greet events soooo awesome.

DonT.
Looks like Sorrento's may well be on the "Must Do" SITM list.
Nothing like the sound of 2 forks clinking. (Dessert anyone?)

Florida Tim. I'll have to hunt around and see if I can find a red 928
with FL tags in my pics. Do you have special wheels or the flats?
We should have parked the sharks by color. That would have been funny.
"That one's mine. The red one. "
"Which red one?"

Hey John K. This one's for you.

I was soooo tempted to get a dessert Tiramisu shot. But I refrained.
Could have called that one: 'OB and the GTS' (Get it. Lady and the T)

Gawd I love Digital photography. All those great pictures and all
it cost me was a few cents in electricity and hard drive space.
Can you imagine the film processing/printing/rescanning to computer costs.

Ernest,
You have PM re: how to detect my "red s4" amongst the sea of other red 928s at SITM ;-) Digital photography does ROCK!!! Too bad Kodak missed the boat a few years back...they're playing catch-up now.

Hey, give us some context for the situation in the photo above of John K. It is a nice shot. What was he doing / thinking? Whatever it was...he looks like he's really into it. Or, maybe it was 2am after a few adult beverages? LOL....

At these events have there ever been problems with behavior? Has anyone been banned ? I'm talking about being totally overwhelmed amongst all these vehicles. My wife saw a few pics, and laughed, says" if I were there, they would get the net and I would have a restraining order against me. No problem can always fly a helicopter. Mike

Tuk - I was standing at the bar at the Tyson's Corner Marriott trying not to fall asleep. I think that was Friday night. I was exhausted after a stressful work week and was probably just enjoying my first beer of the night and decompressing. I had plenty more to drink that night. I slept in till 11, got to the Intersport after noon, and left around 3 to do a 50 mile bike ride on the W&OD trail that runs from Falls Church to out past Leesburg. I got back to the hotel around 6, just in time to start the cycle of partying all over again come banquet time. I got to be well after 2am.

Earnest has another shot he posted last October of my inebriated self at the Saturday night banquet.

Mike - We are all always well behaved at these events.
