Ott fender flare thoughts?
The rear fenders on my '88 have been greatly abused by a PO trying to flare them with a rock and a stick or something. I may just hammer them into something that looks a little better, but I see there is a set of Ott flares for sale. I found a couple of threads about them, but I'm not super clear how wide they really are. I think the width and look a little different than a GTS. Does anybody know:
-How wide are they, anyway? Maybe compared to GTS? I don't need more tire, so I would just use GTS style spacers.
-How do they look in person?

Here's a couple of pics of the Ott flares being installed on a track car. I'm still looking for Adam B's (ATB928) Ott fender install on his 88 S4. It was like a dually 928 from the rear.
Also check out Louie's old 90GT. Should be lots of pics of that one all over rennlist

Here's an old thread with Adam's 928 and a couple of others.
They are most definitely wider than the GTS....in a good way

I am the steward of Louie Ott's car these days, and I can give you more exact measurements than just "wider than a GTS", if you want, they look like this:
On Louie's car there is an oil cooler duct on the left side only and the exhaust comes out via two straight 3" pipes in the center of the car.
Let me know if you want more specific information. Louie runs 325 30's on the rear so there is quite a bit of room for tires...

NOTE if your gonna fit these wider flares then the rear hubs will need spacers and OR you could get a wider wheel with the lower offset like a 32.
That said if your plan is to just fit GTS spacers and keeping your current wheels,
then the studs will also need to be replaced as the standard length studs will not fit GTS spacers.
That means the rear wheel bearings will need to be replaced.
Otherwise you could drill a hole in the backing plate to line up with the stud so you wouldn`t need to take the hub flange out.
Even the wide track wheel set studs will be too short.
Though you could fit bolt on spacers made by HnR these come in many different sizes
