I've leaned all over those fenders developing my systems, never hurt 'em a bit.

The mountain picture was taken here in CA. The hood ornament was at SITM but the car was not. There was a car the same color there. It had side mouldings though. The color is Cassisrot metalic. It's purple/pink/ silver metalic.

Beutiful Shark. At first I thought it was the same color as mine (nougat brown metallic) until you stated the color. From your picture in your posts with the hood open I always thought the car was white. Nice anyway.

golliver, some one else thought I had a white car too from the avatar. The color looks brownish sometimes. I guess you could call it purple/pink/brown/silver metallic.

I a seriously considering the line lock though. How is it activated/de-activated. Where would it go on a 928?
I would like to build a streetable 10-sec 928. A friend is suposed to be buying an 86 for this purpose but he is slacking off.
BTW did you get us on monster garage yet?

Sorry Andy, I really don't have the connections to get us on Monster Garage. I'll poke around in a bit and see if I can find a website.
Line locks come in a variety of shapes & sizes. Jeg's has a bunch of essentially identical single-port solenoid kits that offer different labels and color schemes. These could be activated by any sort of switch you can imagine that will handle the inductive load of the solenoid or operate a relay.
The only one I've had personal experience with was on a real monster... a 5-ton wrecker. It was a cable-operated Mico-lok that locked all 6 wheels(duallie). That wrecker had dual 20,000 lb hydraulic winches, and there were times I stressed it trying to winch something big, but with all 6 wheels locked that truck was like a block of concrete... I dragged it around a few times but the Mico-lok never budged. I'd suggest a cable-lock just because I prefer that critical stuff like this be purely mechanical, and I doubt you want to plumb a lever-operated unit into your dash. But that's the only company I know is making multi-port units and the only one I have personal experience with, though that was a previous generation product from them. You could probably run the cable alongside your hood release.
