Nahhhhh, I kept a low profile this year.

Actually, there were two separate parties going on Sat. evening this year from what I hear. One at the Hotel and the other at Dave and Jeannie's. Most of us spent Saturday evening drooling over Dave's shop. It's like a wrenching Nirvanna. Nobody got the big ticket like last year from what I heard. Several people bent some rims. Kempf didn't run over any dead Beagles this year, but he almost got a live cat. For the most part is was a great weekend for driving. I think some of the most fun driving happens on Rt. 19E between Banner Elk and Spruce Pine. Most of it is marked for a 55 MPH speed limit that is quite intense at that speed. Then try to follow Jay Kempf on the same roads, and as Chuck Urban said it, you'll need a cigarette when you are done.

DR's garage.

Hiya Chuck Z (squeeze Tina for me---I mean it!)

Man oh man what a blast! Drove 15 hours straight to arrive back in Wichita at 3am! Like a dream, car ran great.

Excellent time, wonderful to hang with all the crew again! Like Jay Kempf said, "It's about the cars, but it's really about the people!"

Cool weather, hope Wally's car was all sorted out as we had to take off early.

Thanks EVERYONE for being nice to Teri and I, and for showing up with almost 90 928s!!! DR and Jeannie, you are the BEST!

I met this lady (in the hat) in her 50s who drove in with her sister in an '83 5-speed. She owns a 356, '71 911 and restored VW bug also. She was so cool that I had to take her picture. She spied Scott (928 cab.) leaning on her car and shooed him away! She takes good care of her wheels.
The whole weekend was full of moments like that.

Hi Heinrich,
If you meant the light blue S4 with funny turbo twist looking wheels,
it's my S4. Lagoon Green Metallic per Chuck Z.
17" Boxter optional wheels. I like how they complement the curves of the 928.

And please Chuck Z. do not mention AssWeepey.
My ribs still hurt. Nearly had a cardiac after John K.
Surprised no one called the Banner Elk police about all the laughter.

I shall never look at Tiramisu (Lady and the Tramp dessert scene) the same again.

I had a Great time. Wish I could remember who's car is who's.

Alright, alright.... do I have to drive 2500 miles one-way next year to find out about this asswipe joke or is one of you going to spill the beans?

Hi Dave,

You'll have to ask resident comedian Marc White to recount the story in person. Telling it in this forum and for that matter anyone but Marc telling the story couldn't be nearly as funny! And it had nothing to do with ALL the adult beverages that had been consumed prior...

Christ, she came charging out like a hungry lion... I hadn't realised I had even leaned on it in the first place.

As she walked away I told her that my *** was worth more than her car anyway.

All in fun of course...

Hey we told her "That's Scott, he has seven 928s- he's OK" and she didn't care. Pretty funny.

Gosh, some of these cars are so beautiful, if any lawmaker would see them, he'd probably make them illegal...

'91 GT or S4 in cobalt blue with classic grey interior? Drool...

Early car with phone dials, dark blue metallic and cork interior? If this one is in as good condition as it looks: Mega-drool...

The grey-metallic one from Florida with the custom wheels? Drool...

A few GTS models shown: Drool...

And then there is a dark one which appears to have the full burlwood treatment. Ultra-drool...

I wish I could participate in one of those events some day. It's definitely too far to drive, though.

That's funny. Anne is a nice lady though. She's been a participant at the Frenzies for years. I'd let Scott lean against my Shark, but only becasue he's lending me an LH 'puter for testing purposes. Anyone else leans on one, and I'm pulling out a baseball bat and pummeling his ***.
