That is not what the Workshop Manual says, but many attempt to do it this way.

The WSM wants the front suspension pulled down and held for 10 minutes, before setting to the proper ride height and torqued.
First of all, not many shops have the ability to pull the suspension down....and even less "home" shops have this ability.

And even if either the above procedures actually worked, 928 front suspension rebuilding and obtaining the proper front ride height would be simple.

It's definitely not.

Those rear lower front control arm bushings are very large, for the final "bore" size and "squish" a whole bunch. And the instant that these bushings "squish" and have two "ears" protrude from the sides, they are done moving inside the bore. And getting this "highly squished" bushing to rotate on the inner bore takes a crazy amount of force and time.
