Hi,
I am trying to ensure all my ground points are clean and shiny as per Wally's maintainance tips.
However I am having trouble locating four of the ground points.
Sheet 14 of the 928GTS Model93/2 (later model) shows a total of 12 ground points. 4 of which I can't find. They are : -
GP VIII Engine Power (on upper crankcase, rear left)
GP IX Engine Electronics (on upper crankcase, rear right)
GP XI Wheel Housing Right Inner (in engine compartment on right suspension strut mount)
GP XII Wheel Housing Left Inner (in engine compartment on left suspension strut mount)
I have looked in the specific areas as described but to no avail.
Can anybody help who maybe has had the same problem.
Best,
Roger

Does it have the "Do It Yourself" manual transmission, or the superior "Fully Equipped by Porsche" Automatic Transmission?

David,
Thanks for your response and especially the pics they helped me a lot.
I have again looked very carefully in the areas around each of the struts and as per the grounds I can see clearly in your pics. However no grounds can be found anywhere apart from the other 8 which have already been located and cleaned.
Attached is a pic of one of the strut areas just for clarification.
Took out the airbox and again hunted all over that area for the grounds to no avail.
So I am still missing 4 grounds.
Any body got a GTS and can check if they have the two that are on each strut housing please?

TimCo,
Go to http://members.rennlist.com/pirtle/
find "keepers from the discussion groups" and click on "electrical" and right at the top is "annual maintainance"
Thanks to all,
Roger

86_5Tiburon,
When you say your GTS matches the above - do you mean that you have the ground points on the strut housing as per Davids Hendricksons pictures?
I am getting worried now that I can't find the 4 ground points.
What model 93GTS do you have late or early?
Thanks for the info.
Best,
Roger

Just to complete this tread.
According to the 1993 Tech update the combination wire at:
GP XI Wheel Housing Right Inner (in engine compartment on right suspension strut mount)
GP XII Wheel Housing Left Inner (in engine compartment on left suspension strut mount)
were deleted and the wiring harness extended right to the ABS on the front wheels.
This explains why I could not find the two grounds as above.
