A friend of mine has a set of heads I am trying to help a value of them. Any insight on these?

S3 bare heads are still available from Germany at about $700 per. The valves are, too, and a full set runs, like, $6k.

But to get book value out of that, they’ve got to find the person who wants all of both, instead of someone who just needs to replace a few bent valves.

So, $2500 maybe? $1400 for the aluminum and a median replacement of six valves from a broken TB?

 

I turned down an entire pallet of these, for $500 each. Certainly a great deal, but with low demand, at the time.
