Default Auto trans pan substitutes (?)

With regards to pans having fatigued ears or slightly warped mount surfaces and the ~$800 new replacements (however long they are available): I have a few questions about options, these questions coming from a metal fab not-even-newbie. So I apologize in advance for stupid sounding questions.
Can new pans intended for Mercedes be modified to have an exit spout in the back with a semi rigid hose to connect with the fluid fill bottle?
Greg? Roger? Ken?

A good fabricator could do that, yes.

The mating angles of the plumbing..would require building a Jig, and some iterative effort.

If they charge what they're worth, IF you can find an OE pan, it may be cheaper to do that.

I paid under $500 retail for the spare one I have.

I have a brand new Mercedes pan I'm not going to use I'd be willing to sell.

The Mercedes pan is ~$80 so you could have the tube and support taken off of an old pan and welded onto the new one.

Definitely going to need a jig and an experienced welder to do it though.

I bought a pan last year from Rosepassion. Was about $400 from them as well when the dollar and euro had parity.
