Default Cut a hole in the front floor to replace shifter cup

Have I read here that someone cut a hole in the front floor to access the shifter cup ball?
I remember seeing pics of the work.

Would you be able to send measurements etc please.

I don't recall anyone cutting into the transmission tunnel to get at the front ball cup. To get at it from the top you'd have to remove the dash, the center console and the HVAC box. From the side you'd have to displace the dash wiring harness (though maybe it's different on a RHD car....) And then figure out how to re-seal the tunnel, nothing like welding down in a footwell with all the foam and tar-based insulation in the way.

But in any case, it'd be 10x more work than just dropping the exhaust from the the manifolds and R&Ring it in place.
