Speedo Failure
My Speedo has failed, this happened shortly after I fixed some dash illumination issues
I found the 4 pin connector in the wheel well, pins 3 & 4 for the reverse switch and pins 1 & 2 for the sensor
With the car on axle stands and the car running in forth at idle there is a variable resistance across pins 1 & 2 so I'm assuming this means the reed switch is working
I've also taken out the dash and soldered the speedo connections as mentioned by Dwayne's Odo documentation, and checked continuity to the edge connector
However, all to no avail
What should I check or try next?

I would check the continuity from the ribbon board edge all the way to the rivets you soldered. I had to add small pieces of wire to mine because the small "circuit board" the rivets attach to was not making connection. If remember right, the rivets should have connection straight across to the backs of the pins. They are in your last picture, near the top.

Thanks, I did check from the ribbon board edge to the rivets, however I haven't checked all the way to the connector in the wheel well, as I didn't have a long cable with croc clips to hand

The one next to it appears to connect above the row of pins, and the last one on the right goes down to the one with the question mark next to it.
