I have the MB tubes on my GTS with red silicone couplers. 20 years old now, they still look like new and a perfect fit to the red satin powdercoating finish.

Yes, it's that long ago when we installed them together. No issues since then and more than 60k miles later.
I too have been using 4 of the MB inlet tubes for over 15 years. Had them on my '94 and now again on the '95. I think they look a lot better than the GTS foam covered tubes, or the S4 'constriction' tubes. They actually can be jointed without a 'connector' as one end has slightly smaller OD than the ID of the other end. For my driving, I'm sure there is no difference in performance between these and the OE foam covered.
Prices came down I paid $227 at full wholesale a few months back. Porsche must have increased inventory. I particularly don't like them but have them for originality only. I do have a used set with the tape on top and some minor damage by the brake reservoir where i accidently spilled some fluid and it quickly damaged the coating but still look quite good. Interestingly my new ones which were so badly deteriorated 17 years ago had the tape on top from the factory. I don't believe they had been changed out.
PM me if interested I will sell them for $200 + shipping. I can send pics if you give me an email address.
Happy Days - Retail just increased to $385 each.
