Default Tie Rods

I have this set of tie rods on my car and when it's aligned there is almost no adjustment left. It looks like there are 3 different numbers of tie rods for the years of cars. Are the newer cars shorter or are the newer cars longer? I don't know what this tie rod is, It has no number on it.

Found this so it looks like newer cars tie rods are shorter.
235 vs 245.

It must have the early tie rods then, I'll have to order the "correct" ones.
Thanks

Hi, you can just cut of 10mm. The inner thread is long enough.

That would save 200 bucks. I'll check it out.
Thanks

If the car aligns with the longer tie rod, why mess with it?

Well, It doesn't really. The tires align perfect, but there is not enough threads to get the steering wheel exactly centered. Its either on one side or the other depending on where the steering wheel mounted.

Yup, shorten the tie rod tube on the offending side a few millimeters and pretend like you spent the $200.
