Very sad to see this news, and so sorry for his family. I met Nate for the first time at the PVGP. We chatted in the parking lot after everyone else had left. I won't forget his warmth and spirit to share.

Default Pittsburgh Celebration of Life

Hello 928 friends,

Here is a link to the Pittsburgh Celebration of Life for my brother. We're hoping to stream a portion of it and I will post the link if we do.

If anyone is planning on attending from out of town, I have a block of hotel rooms very close to the venue for Sat. night (see invite ). However, the hotel has sold out for Feb 25th and the last day to reserve a room is tomorrow.

https://events.blackbirdrsvp.com/celebrate-nate-pgh

Take good care,

Wendy

Default Nate's 50th

Hello!
It's hard to believe it's coming up on a year from when my brother passed. 😭 I miss him every day.💞
In honor of Nate's 50th birthday (10/10), I started an Instagram page (CelebrateNate) and I am asking friends and family to do 50 acts of Kindness for Nate's 50th. It can be anything from donating to your favorite organization, volunteering, helping a neighbor.....
If you would like to participate and you are not on instagram, you can post your good deed on this thread (photos are encouraged), and I will repost it on his IG page. If you are on Instagram, send me a DM or post it to your page you tag (@celebratenate) and I will repost it. If you have any questions, just ask!
Hope you'll join me. 🥰🎈🎉

Cool idea as a tribute to Nate and all the acts of kindness he did for others.

I'm not on Instagram, but yesterday, I replaced the starter in my 87 year old Mom's Infiniti FX45 for her since it's her primary means of transportation and the car just developed the issue on Friday where starting became intermittent. Would've snapped a picture had I seen the post yesterday.

RIP Nate - we miss you.

I have the very cool Lithophanes he made me of my cars displayed my office every day. They really pop when the sun is directly behind them.

Thanks so much for participating and for sharing the photos of the Lithopanes he made you. He was simply the best!!
The next few months are going to be tough, but knowing how much he was liked/loved warms my ❤️. I will be sure to post your good deed on Instagram. ) Wendy

Hello-

Just thought I'd share an email I've kept in my 928 files... Nate was the first person I contacted when I was getting serious about adding a 928 to the fleet, this was such a typical response to my questions. Complete, informative, useful, typical too. He was the first person I called when I found the '85

.

Hi Matt -
Thank you so much for sharing this email. I can hear his voice when I read it..💝
I'm not surprised that he went into so much detail. That is the kind of person he was. It amazes me how many people he impacted in so many ways. Miss him so much!🙏💞

Nate is surely missed by this group. I so enjoyed having him with us. Thanks for bumping this up Wendy, and giving another reason to celebrate who Nate was.

@linderpat Thank YOU! It is so heartwarming to read these comments and know that he is still thought about. 💞🙏
He's been celebrated all weekend. His good friends came to Pittsburgh for the Steelers /Ravens game and toasted him at the tailgate. And what a game!! Nath pulled some strings. ) In Seattle, his friends had a Cele-Nate-ion, and today we'll be celebrating at TopGolf. Miss you everyday brother!!💜💜💜💜

Nate, I'm still shocked that he is gone... I try to be kind every time I relate to anyone and random acts of kindness are as simple as holding a door open for a stranger.

Today I saw a car with an expired parking meter and the enforcement officer coming up the street. Put some change in their meter to avoid a ticket for the unaware owner and enriched to coffers of the city at the same time. To round out the act of kindness, I chatted with the parking enforcement officer and brightened her day with a small jar of honey from my bees.. Life is better when good people behave like Nate...

RIP Nate! You remain a brother in arms...

I only had the chance to meet Nate once (PVGP - Rendezvous 928 2022) but really appreciate that moment.
A rue 928 enthusiast and a real nice person to talk to.
When I do longer trips for 928 events like Rendezvous and Frenzy, I always bring with me the very cool 3D lithophanes he made me few years ago.
It's my way to thanks him and give Nate a chance to still ride in a 928...
RIP my friend.

Many 928 enthusiasts are in that age demographic where the losses are becoming more frequent, and these reminders of the reality of our limited time never get any easier. This and most car communities are steeped in pride and sharing of our cars and knowledge with like minded enthusiasts, and we end up meeting people of ALL types of personalities in the process. Here we are almost a year later talking about Nate and it got me thinking about a concept; As far as 928s go Nate's car was about as "ordinary" as they come.. Not restored, not special colors, not the oldest, or the newest, or the fastest, or lowest miles, or the most valuable, not a GT or CS or GTS or SE or Euro, or rare...i could go on. We're talking about Nate a year later because of the kind and generous man he was to all of us. Goes to show that when the real stuff happens the community is about the people more than the cars, although wherever Nate's car is it is cruising with some seriously positive energy. Note to self: Be more like Nate, and step up the appreciation for others like him.

This is gift I received from nate in 2021. I call it a gift because I asked him to do it and refused to charge me ... it is a prototype 3D print of some absolutely unobtainable press car parts that were repurposed hand made tool tray tops at the factory. This was the first one from Nate, I was supposed to make notes, hand finish it and send it back to him so he could make a few sets. I procrastinated, and it still sits on a table in my office. I can't put it away but I have lost my desire to pursue the project for now.

Default 50 acts of kindness

New member in Porsche club, just inherited his 81 year old mothers 1986 3.2 911. Red paint had much oxidation and minor scratches. Was asking where to have it detailed, etc. I had him come down to my house and did a clay bar cleaning and machine polish of his car, came out quite nice. Asked him to pass the favor forward..much as Nate would have done!
