Rest in Peace Nate - GT6ixer

i sent Nate a headlight relay to test in his 84. He was kind enough to try it in his car and send it back with a clean bill of health. What a thoughtful nice guy. He was always positive and upbeat. We can all learn from his example. So sad.

I don’t know why I would be surprised to come across this thread that is many miles away, and after reading all these comments of course not it’s about Nate.
Im still trying to process that the kid that came across the country to start his career at a little company that he and I both started our career paths at is gone. I had the honor of watching him grow and hone his craft, dog sit Molly and meet his now wife when they first started dating.
We were asked not to go on social media while his wife is still grieving. But I could not come across this and not say anything. He truly was the kindest human being I’ve ever met.
Nate was meticulous when it came to numbers and safety. About 20 years ago when we were on another FT he explained to me what they would be doing. I told him no way I’d ever, he said it’s what he went to school for it’s what he loved to do.
I just wanted to thank you all it’s helped me trying to come to terms with it.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Nate, but certainly knew of his presence here. From all the comments, it's obvious he had a very positive impact on many people, which is something we should all aspire to. Clear skies and R.I.P., Nate! Condolences to his family and friends.

This is such sad news, and the last thing it expected to see. Nate was so energetic and full of enthusiasm.
We knew Nate from many 928 gatherings over the years, here in the PNW, S'Fests down south, PVGP this past summer, always smiles and kind words.
Our sincerest condolences to the family, I cannot imagine what they are going through.
Michael, thanks for sharing, and please reach out if there is anything we can do.

I never had the good fortune to meet Nate but messaged with him and agree with the previous comments about his positive attitude and energy. We could all use more of that. RIP Nate, and best to his family.

Finally got a bit of time to check in here, and my heart stopped for a moment as I read the news. Noooooo - not Nate!
We will all miss his enthusiasm and knowledge. He did go out doing what he loved, but he leaves so many behind that will miss his energy, generosity and uplifting spirit.
Good Speed Nate as you rip up the roads of heaven in your best of breed "84"
We will miss you...

It was quite a shock to read this when I first checked RL this evening. My deepest condolences to Nate's family. I always enjoyed reading his posts here and on Bring a Trailer. This whole forum will miss his insight and enthusiasm for 928s.

Just got back from a long weekend trip to Idaho and back and saw this. I can't believe it, so sorry to hear this. Nate and I collaborated on a number of 3-D printing projects, I learned a bunch from him. Far too young.

Heartbreaking. I never met Nate in person, but felt that I knew him through his posts here and felt we would be fast friends over a beer. I always chuckled when he would comment in discussions about the best MY 928 with "an 84 of course", and would congratulate new owners of an 84 as getting the best version to have. He truly loved his car, and his family, as evidenced by including his son in his hobby. His perseverance in getting his 928 in shape for this past Summer's cross country trip, after a false start previously, is remarkable - a bucket list item for him, I'm sure. It is people like Nate that make this community what it is. He will truly be missed by many. May his family find peace.

Oh, no. What a tragedy and loss to the 928 Community. Met Nate for the first time at PVGP/Rendezvous... what an enthusiastic, helpful and positive guy he was.
May his memory be eternal.

Never met Nate in person but as many here have said worked with hime electronically to create some parts via 3D printing. What a great guy and positive for the community. God bless his wife and kids. RIP Nate.
